Sawing Wood: U.S. Park Service firefighter Tarl Norman packs up
his chainsaw, "Ghandi," Saturday at the entrance to Canyon De
Chelley in Chinle, Ariz. The park service and other firefighters cleared
more than 12 acres of Russian olive trees around the entrance to the canyon
over the last few weeks. The trees were seperated into firewood and brush.
The firewood is available for anyone to come and pickup for free and the
leftover brush will be burned during a controlled burn later this summer.

Icy conditions are being blamed for a double-fatality accident early Sunday
morning on Interstate-40 on the overpass near Mile Marker 26. According
to New Mexico State Police Lt. Darren Soland, the seven-vehicle accident
occured at 6:13 a.m., when the driver of a west-bound SUV lost control
