Raymond Lujan
MILAN Funeral services for Raymond Alfonso Lujan, 67, will be
at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9 at St. Vivian Catholic Church.
A rosary will be recited this evening, March 8 at 7 p.m. at St. Vivian
Catholic Church.
Lujan died March 5 in Milan. He was born Jan. 3, 1938 in Monte Vista,
Colo.
He is survived by his wife, Adeline Maxine Lujan of Milan; sons, Gary
Allen Lujan of Idaho, Steve Lujan of Utah, David Lujan of Milan, Lorenzo
Lujan of Santa Maria; daughters, Brenda Jo Lujan, Melody Lujan, Rama
Jean McKay, all of Jerome, Idaho, Cherie Mirabal of Grants; brothers,
Benjamin Lujan Jr., Fabian Lujan, Mike Lujan, Rob Lujan, all of Bakersfield,
Calif., Arthur Lujan, Daniel Lujan, all of Grand Junction, Colo.; sisters,
Roberta Saenz, Loretta Dixon both of Calif., Sarah Salsbury of Maine,
Tessie Manges, Geri Cummings both of Colo.; 41 grandchildren and 35
great-grandchildren.
Lujan is preceded in death byhis parents, Benjamin and Adeline Lujan;
daughter, Debbie Lujan; brother, Joe Lujan and sister, Barbara Lujan.
Pallbearers will be Robert Vega, Gilbert Lujan, Dominic Lujan, Reynaldo
Heredia, Ernie Casada, Michael McKay Jr., Jessie Salaz and Lorenzo Lujan
Jr.
Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Carrie M. Yazzie
GALLUP Funeral services for Carrie M. Yazzie, 85, will be at
10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9 at Cope Memorial Chapel. Father Cormac
O.F.M. will officiate. Burial will be in the City Cemetery.
Yazzie was born into the Towering House People Clan for the Black Sheep
People Clan.
She was well known for her rug weaving.
Survivors include her son, James Begay; daughters, Caroline Denetclaw,
Carolyn Begay, Sarah Loy; brothers, Johnnie Yazzie, John Andy Roy; sisters,
Clara Gillson, Alice Lowe, Marlene Lowe, Marie Ashley, Lucy Lasiloo,
Nellie Moore; 38 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Yazzie was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Begay; sons, Jones
Begay, Evan Begay; daughters, Evalyn Begay and Nora Begay.
Pallbearers will be Alvin Benny, Ernest Pete, Roy Loy, Theodore Denetclaw,
Preston Denetclaw and Dwayne Lee.
Cope Memorial is in charge of arrangements.

CROWNPOINT Funeral services for Mary Briggs, 68, will be at
10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9 at the First Navajo Bible Church. Harry
D. Largo will officiate. Burial will be in Martin Lake.
Cope Memorial is in charge of arrangements.
Clara M. Henderson
PREWITT Services for Clara M. Henderson, 44, will be announced
at a later date.
Henderson died March 5. She was born Sept. 26, 1960 in Crownpoint into
the Towering House People Clan for the Red Running into Water People
Clan.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Addition
In an obituary run in yesturday's paper, March 7, the deceased Mary Lou
Tso-Blackbear was also preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Roanhorse.
