GALLUP — Gallup Police released a mug shot of the 19-year-old dragging suspect Monday in hope that area residents will be able to provide information that leads to her arrest.

Detective Erin Pablo, a spokeswoman for the Gallup Police Department, said detectives will disperse fliers throughout Gallup that display Lisa Martinez's picture and outline the conspiracy charges pending against the teenager for her alleged role in the Easter dragging of Fausto Arrellano.

District Judge Grant Foutz signed a second warrant on Friday for Martinez's arrest due to her recent grand jury indictment. The warrant reads that Martinez is extraditable nationwide and once arrested, will remain in custody without bond.

Detectives suspect Martinez could be residing in Arizona with family members.

Pablo said detectives also remain in contact with Arrellano who was released from the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque earlier this month. He sustained burns to nearly 50 percent of his body due to his dragging of almost a mile along Patton Street.

Pablo said Arrellano's condition has not improved since his release and that his immune system remains weak. Arrellano is staying at an undisclosed location under the care of family members.

"Hopefully, he'll be able to regain some of his memory by being with family," she said.
