Mother Goose Fire: An exhausted Gallup firefighter walks by a ladder
truck at 317 Wyatt Dr. Thursday night. Gallup police and fire personnel
were called to a fire at Mother Goose Learning Center around 9:20 p.m.
No one was injured in the fire, the cause of which remains under investigation.

Extrication Required: Gallup Police Sgt. Martinez and a tow truck
driver examine a wrecked Kia on West Highway 66 in front of Paramount
Liquors Thursday night. The red Grand Am in the background slammed into
the back of the Kia around 6:45 p.m. The driver of the Grand Am fled on
foot and remains at large. Gallup firefighters had to use extrication
tools to remove the unresponsive driver from the Kia so he could be taken
to the Gallup Indian Medical Center. The driver's name and condition were
