Deaths
Natividad C. de Baca
GRANTS Memorial services for Natividad C. de Baca, 85,
will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 31, at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic
Church. The Very Rev. Alberto Avella will be the celebrant. Burial
will be in Grants Memorial Park.
Baca died Jan. 28, 2009, in Grants. He was born April 25, 1923,
in Las Vegas, N.M.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Jean C. de Baca of Grants;
daughter, Pamela Chachere of Grants; sons, Michael C. de Baca
of Albuquerque, Natividad C. de Baca Jr. of Grants, Don C. de
Baca of Hobbs, Mark C. de Baca of Las Vegas; 12 grandchildren;
24 great-grandchildren.
Baca was preceded in death by his parents, Filedelpho and Aniceta
C. de Baca; brothers, Manuel C. de Baca, File C. de Baca; sister,
Isadora Roybal.

Corine Rodriguez
SAN RAFAEL Funeral Mass for Corine J. Rodriguez, 76, will
be 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 31, at San Rafeal Catholic Church.
Burial will be in San Rafael Community Cemetery. The Very Rev.
Alberto Avella will be the celebrant. A rosary will be recited
7 p.m., tonight, Jan. 29, at San Rafael Catholic Church.
Rodriguez died Jan. 28, 2009, in San Rafael. She was born July
18, 1932, in San Rafael.
Rodriguez was retired for the US Postal System as the Post Master.
Survivors include her children, Andrea Rodriguez of San Rafael,
Tony Rodriguez of San Rafael, Ronald Rodriguez of San Rafael,
Juanita Rodriguez of San Rafael, Ermalinda Rodriguez of San Rafael,
Frances Rodriguez of San Rafael; sisters, Flora Ortiz of San Rafael,
Sostena Ortiz of Phoenix; brother, Corneilo Garcia of Milan; seven
grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Rodriguez was preceded in death by her parents, Hilario Garcia,
Clara Saavedra Garcia; son, Lawrence Rodriguez; daughter, Bernadine
Rodriguez; sisters, Mable Anna Vigil, Mary Garcia; brother, Frank
Aguilar.
Pallbearers will be Adrianna Rodriguez; Zeke Rodriguez, Ismael
Melton, Iysha Melton, Janice Rodriguez, Leticia Rodriguez.

Wavie Shain
BLUEWATER ACRES Services for Wavie Lee Shain, 65, will
be 12 p.m., Jan. 31, at Bluewater Acres Fire Department.
Shain died Jan. 24, 2009, in Bluewater Acres. He was born June
25, 1943, in Louiville, Ken.
Shain attended school up to the 12th grade. He was a car parts
salesman, worked at Masonic Lodge and he enjoyed hunting, fishing
and liked to travel.
Survivors include his son, Michael Shain of Gallup; daughter,
Lori Sandoval of Bluewater Lake; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
Shain was preceded in death by his wife, Loring Shain.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Bluewater Acres
Fire Department, following services. The family will meet 12 a.m.,
Jan. 31, at the Bluewater Acres Fire Department.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Rosalio Torrez
SAN RAFAEL Funeral Mass for Rosalio Torrez, 81, were 10
a.m., today, Jan. 30, at San Rafael Catholic Church. Burial was
in San Rafael Community Cemetery. The Rev. Alberto Avella was
the celebrant. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m., Thursday, Jan.
29, at San Rafael Catholic Church.
Torrez died Jan. 27, 2009, in San Rafael. He was born March 29,
1927, in San Rafael.
Survivors include his children, Teresa Marquez of San Rafael,
Clifford Torrez of San Rafael, Elmer Torrez of San Rafael, Leo
Torrez Jr. of San Rafael, Joey Torrez of Milan, Jason Torrez of
Albuquerque, Jacob Torrez of Grants, Patricia Torrez of Grants,
Brenda Gonzales of Gallup, Celine Vigil of Grants, Debbie Jaramillo
of Winnemucca, N.V.; sisters, Ernestina Castillo of Grants, Mary
Archunde of Phoenix; brother, Ramon Torrez of San Rafael; 24 grandchildren;
20 great-grandchildren.
Torrez was preceded in death by his wife, Dora M. Torrez; parents,
Leondro Torrez, Concepcion Padilla Torrez; brothers, Leonard Torrez,
Ronnie Torrez, Alejandro Torrez; sister, Juanita Zuniga; one grandson.
Pallbearers were Mario Jose Marquez, Louie Palacious, RJ Lopez,
DJ Vigil, Ashley Jaramillo, Vanessa Torrez, Zeke Gonzales III.
