Lee Budick

GALLUP — Memorial services for Lee Budick, 23, will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 3, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Gallup. The Rev. Lawrence O’Keefe will officiate.

Budick died Jan. 27, 2009, in Albuquerque. He was born April 1, 1985, in Gallup.

Budick attended Indian Hills Elementary, Gallup Mid School, and Gallup High School. He worked for his father at Busy Bee Car Wash in Albuquerque. Budick took Karate lessons, and enjoyed being with his family, playing video games, and watching football. His favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys.

Survivors include his son, Aragon Budick of Gallup; parents, Otilia Budick, Frank Budick, of Gallup; brothers, Frank Budick Jr. of Albuquerque; sisters, Corina Cortez of Gallup, Lauryn Budick of Albuquerque; grandparents, Hilde and John Schulke of Albuquerque.
Budick was preceded in death by h is grandmother, Maria Teresa Gutirrez.

Pallbearers will be Frank Budick Jr., Carl Vidal, Adam Duhl, Mike Budick, Mitch Green, Lupe Valles, Elias Sanchez.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Sammy C’s Restaurant, following services.

Jasper Smith

ALBUQUERQUE — Services are pending for Jasper (Jazz) T. Smith.

Smith was born May 3, 1962, in Gallup.

The family will meet 5 p.m., tonight, Jan. 31, at Twin Lakes Chapter House.

Larry Watchman

CROWNPOINT — Funeral services for Larry Watchman, 58, will be 10 a.m., Monday, Feb. 2, at Cope Memorial Chapel, Gallup. Howard Begay will officiate. Burial will be in Crownpoint family plot. Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 1, from 1-3 p.m., at Cope Memorial Chapel.

Watchman died Jan. 27, 2009, in Laguna Acoma. He was born Oct. 8, 1950, in Shiprock, into the Red House People Clan for the Mountain Cove People Clan.

Watchman went to school in Shiprock, Wingate and graduated from Window Rock in 1971. He was a silversmith and also a member in the Eastern Navajo Fair board. He loved the Washington Redskins and spending time with his grandchildren. Watchman also loved to go to bingo, casinos, rodeos and dances. He use to like to watch sports, especially football and basketball.

Survivors include his wife, Laverna Watchman of Crownpoint; daughters, Loranda Watchman, Letticia Watchman, both of Vanderwagen, Leona Begay, Lenora Nez, both of Gallup; brothers, Papeteries of Sheep Springs, Morrell of Phoenix, Andrew of Phoenix, Virgil of Tohatchi, Walton of Tohatchi, Watson of Tohatchi, Gordon Watchman of Tohatchi, Benny Reynolds of Phoenix; sisters, Ella Yazzie of Grey Hills, Arlene Charley of Layton, Utah, Jacqueline Yazzie of Murfreeshoro, Tenn., Janice Martinez of Rock Springs; six grandchildren.

Watchman was preceded in death by Ben and Elsie Watchman.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Begay, Thale Goodluck, Gary Musick, Cory Yazzie, Andrew Watchman, Benny Reynolds, Garrett Greyhat.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Crownpoint Chapter House, following services.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
