Lillian Miller

NAVAJO — Services for Lillian Todahonzie Miller, 69, were at 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 13, 2009, at the Indian Revival Church in Bell Gardens, Calif. Burial will be in family land in Navajo, N.M. at 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 16, 2009.

Miller died Feb. 9, 2009, in Long Beach, Calif. She was born Sept. 2, 1939, in Fort Defiance, Ariz., into the Red Running into the Water People Clan for the Under His Cover People Clan.

Miller graduated from Gallup High School in 1958 and Haskell Indian School in 1961. She worked for the US Army Corp. of Engineers in Los Angeles, Calif.

Survivors include her daughters Dina Miller and Joleyn Spoonhunter; brother Gerald Todakonzie of Gallup; sisters Doris Litson, Yvonne Begay, Erika Walker of Navajo, Coleen Hoskie of Gallup, Marcella Hudson of Farmington, Wanda Horton of Albuquerque, Delores Terr of Gila River, Ariz.; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Marian Todakonzie; brothers Kenneth Todakonzie, Benjamin Todakonzie, Frank Todakonzie; sisters Gloria Bennett, Lucinda Todakonzie, Esther Todakonzie.

Pallbearers will be family members.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Kendall Thompson

GALLUP —Services for Kendall P. Thompson, 41, will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, at the Rehoboth Christian Reformed Church in Rehoboth. The Rev. Bobby Boyd will officiate. Burial will follow in family land in Pinedale.

Thompson died Feb. 9, 2009, in Albuquerque. He was born April 23, 1967, in Gallup into the Two Who Came to the Water Poeple Clan for the Muskogee-Creek Wind Clan.

Thompson graduated from Rehoboth Christian School in 1985, the University of Phoenix in 2002 and attended the University of New Mexico.

Survivors include his parents James and Dorothy Harjo; brother Patrick Hargo and grandmother Juanita Hargo of Tulsa, Okla.
Thompson was preceded in death by his grandparents Ben and Roberta Thompson and Ben Harjo.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Thompson, Jasper Begay, Garrett Francis, Phillip Begay, Ryan Nez, Micah Thompson

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Pinedale Chapter House after services.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Bryant Tungovia

WINDOW ROCK — Services for Bryant Kylor Tungovia, 22, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, at Rollie Mortuary. Burial will follow at Damon Cemetery in Fort Defiance.
Visitation will be at Rollie Mortuary one-hour prior to services at 9 a.m., Monday.

Tungovia died Feb. 10, 2009, in Tempe. He was born Jan. 7, 1987, in Fort Defiance.

He graduated from Amy Biehl Charter High School in Albuquerque in 2005 and attended UNM, Mesa Community College and the culinary Arts program at Scottsdale Culinary Institute in Scottsdale.

Survivors include his parents Barbara Lucero, Hanson Tungoria Jr., and stepfather John Von Hollen; grandparents Deborah C. Yazzie, Delbert R. Lucero, Lorrie Tungovia, Delbert R. Lucero, Hanson Tungovia Sr.; great-grandmother Edith Damon Yazzie.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Hazel Watchman

SHEEP SPRINGS — Services for Hazel Watchman, 47, will be announced at a later date. Watchman died February 13, 2009, in Shiprock. She was born January 15, 1962, at Shiprock.

Michele Wilson-White

NASCHITTI — Services for Michele Lynn Wilson-White, 40, will be announced at a later date. Wilson-White died Feb. 12, 2009, at Naschitti, New Mexico.  She was born Sept. 12, 1968, in Shiprock.

Nicholas Yazzie

GANADO — Services for Nicholas Yazzie, 27, will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16 at the Presbyterian Church in Ganado. The Rev. Terry Gooden will officiate.

Yazzie died Feb. 10, 2009, in Gallup. He was born Oct. 15, 1981, in Ganado into the Honey Comb People Clan for the Red House People Clan.

Yazzie attended Gallup High School, was a lumberjack in Colorado and a buffer at Anasazi Jewelry Co. He also worked at Burger King and was a laborer.

Survivors include his daughters Narian Yazzie, Nakayla Yazzie, both of Gamerco; mother Corandina Smith; brothers Thomas Lee Jr., Gregory Lee, Gabriel Lee, Tyrrell Lee and Myron Smith all of Red Rock and Navajo, N.M.; sisters Amanda Tom of Phoenix, Yvonne Lee, Shirona Lee, Keriann Lee, all of Red Rock; grandparents Annie May Kaballero, Kee B. Yazzie.

He was preceded in death by his father Michael Yazzie; grandparents Esther Smith, Hugh Smith Sr.; sister Michelle Smith; brother Darrell John and stepfather Thomas Lee Sr.

Pallbearers will be Myron Smith, Nathaniel Becenti, Emerson Preston, Hugh Rogers, Kasey Bowie and Jimmy Charlie Jr.

The family will receive relatives and friends in Red Rock at Leroy Jim’s residence.

Silver Creek Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
