GALLUP The following food service facilities were inspected by the New Mexico Environment Department: Pizza House Three high-risk violations were found during a Feb. 18 inspection; chemicals and tools were being stored with and above canned products, a broken bowl was used to scoop flour out of the bin, no sanitizer on premises. All violations were corrected immediately on site. Three moderate-risk violations were found; no thermometers in cold holding units, cutting board surface is scored deeply and walls had food splatter on them. Three low-risk violations were found; no end caps on the protective light tubes in the food prep area, ceiling vents needed cleaning and painting, and there was some damaged floor tile. Baskin Robbins One moderate risk violation was found during a Feb. 18 inspection; there was rust and chipped paint on the edge of the ice bin. No other violations were found. Davids Restaurant One high-risk violation was found in a Feb. 18 inspection; canned food and drink products were being stored in the bathroom. This was corrected immediately on site and all products were removed along with the shelving. Two low-risk violations were found; damaged concrete floor needed to be sealed and damaged ceiling tiles need to be replaced. |
