Orlovskaya said she was traveling from Florida to Arizona and decided to hike the trail while stopped in Gallup. The 53-year-old Russia native got turned around on the trail and called emergency services when the sun went down and the temperature began to drop. Rescue personnel located Orlovskaya and her two dogs about two hours after the initial phone call and safely returned her to the trailhead.
