HOT WORK: ABOVE: Byron Kinsel moves wood through the construction
site of the new Sammy C's Rockin' Sports Pub and Grill in downtown
Gallup Thursday afternoon. The Bonaguidi Construction crew used
the standing water to kept the cement filling in an old basement
stairway from curing too fast in the intense heat. The water kept
the cement at a more temperate 78 degrees in the 90 degree weather.
BELOW: Kinsel removes his hardhat briefly while attempting to cool
off at the construction site of the new Sammy C's Rockin' Sports
Pub and Grill. The men on site from Bonaguidi Construction were
working hard to complete the 13,000 square foot building that will
include a Starbucks, restaurant, and pub. The building will include
a bar area is large enough to hold 14 beers on tap, street side
patios, and extensive amounts of memorabilia. The expected completion
of the project is in late September or early October. [Photos by
