Mary Begay
IYANBITO Services for Mary R. Begay,
78, will be 10 a.m. June 11, at the Rollie Mortuary. The Rev.
Ted Charles and Ernest Franklin will officiate. Private disposition
will be in Iyanbito.
Begay died June 7, 2008, in Rehoboth. She was
born March 8, 1930, in Rehoboth, into the Towering House People
Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.
Begay attended Iyanbito Day School. She worked
at Thoreau Boarding School as an Education Aide. She was a weaver,
traditional teacher, homemaker, florist, and rancher.
Survivors include her sons, Laffie Begay of
Gallup, Delfred Begay of Window Rock, Elison Begay of Iyanbito;
daughters, Charlotte Begay of Iyanbito, Kathy Begay of Iyanbito;
14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Begay was preceded in death by her brothers,
Bob, Henry, Paul, Tommy, Johnny, Joe, Ernest; sisters, Pearl Ross,
Wilhelmina Livingston, Donna Arviso; mother, Jean Murphy; father,
Joe T. Murphy.
Pallbearers will be Ty Arviso, Alvin Ross, Jerald
Begay, James Reyes, Leo Reyes, and BJ Begay.
The family will received relatives and friends
at Iyanbito Chapter 5 p.m., June 9.

Joella Donlan
GALLUP Memorial services for Joella Grace
Donlan, 91, will be 10 a.m. June 7, at the Sacred Heart Retreat
Center Chapel.
Donlan died May 31, 2008, in Grants. She was
born June 20, 1916,in Des Moine, Iowa.
Donlan has been a past resident of Oak Lawn
Illinois and Datona, Florida, before moving to Gallup.
Survivors include her children, Mary Jo Donlan
of Gallup; John Joseph Donlan of Tinley Park, Ill., Thomas John
Donlan of Tinley Park, Ill.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Donlan was preceded in death by her husband,
John Joseph Donlan Sr.; parents, John Charles Heenan, Gertic Mae
Heenan; brothers, Commondore Heenan, Bro Heenan, Frank Heenan;
sisters, Mary Kolling, Meredith Heenan; Hildreth Murray, Darleen
Heenan, Esther Heenan.

Garrett Joe
LITTLEWATER Services for Garrett Joe,
22, will be 10 a.m. June 11, at the Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints Church, Crownpoint. Elder Jimson Joe will officiate. Burial
will be in family plot, Littlewater.
Joe died June 6, 2008, in Socorro. He was born
Nov. 1, 1985, in Gallup, into the Apache People Clan for the Towering
House People Clan.
Joe graduated from Crownpoint Community School
and proceeded onto Crownpoint High School. He later obtained his
GED from NTC formerly known as Cit, where he also tutored his
peers. Upon completion, he was accepted into New Mexico Tech in
Socorro where he completed his freshman year. Joe would have continued
as a returning sophomore to become a Civil Engineer. He was also
employed at K-Bobs. Joe was a very athletic intellectual.
He was enthusiastic, funny, energetic, adventurous. He was an
outgoing person who had a passion for skate boarding, animals,
cooking, kids, teaching, family and friends.
Survivors include his parents, Bernice Etsitty,
Elmer Johnson; sisters, Lanice Jackson of Aztec, LaTasha Joe of
Glendale; grandparents, Dixie Moustache of Littlewater, Mary Rose
McCabe Joe of China Springs.
Joe was preceded in death by his father, Anson
Joe; brother, Brandon J. Joe; grandfather, Stuart K. Etsitty.
Pallbearers will be Jui Jui Joe, Gary Yazzie,
Jonathan Connell, Randy Anderson, Jonathan Houston, Aaron Benally.
Silver Creek Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
David Madrid Sr.
GAMERCO Rosary and funeral Mass for David
Dario Madrid Sr., 37, will be 9:30 a.m. June 12, at the St. John
Vianney Catholic Church, Gallup. Burial will take place at Pioneer
Memorial Cemetery, Bluewater Village.
Madrid died June 6, 2008, in Gallup. He was
born Feb. 28, 1971, in Bellflower, Calif.
Madrids hobbies included fishing, playing
video games, spending time with his wife, children, family and
friends.
Survivors include his wife, Crystal Madrid of
Gamerco; sons, David D. Madrid Jr., Christopher Madrid, both of
Gamerco; daughter, Camaron Madrid of Gamerco; father, Dario Madrid
of Gallup; mother, Gloria Perez Davis of Gallup; step-mother,
Liana Madrid of Gallup; brothers, Lloyd Madrid of Gallup, Dario
Madrid Jr. of Galllup; sister, Maegan Madrid of Phoenix.
Madrid was preceded in death by his grandparents,
David K. and Esperanza Madrid, Ralphael and Jennie Perez, Pauline
Finnegan, Anna Marie Farley.
