He was born March 12, 1909, in Rock Springs, into the Tobacco
People Clan for the Towering House People Clan.

Sarah Gonnie
LOW MOUNTAIN, Ariz. Funeral services
for Sarah Mary Gonnie, 84, will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 1, at
the Community Baptist Church, Keams Canyon, Ariz. Burial will
be in Community Cemetery, Jeddito, Ariz.
Gonnie died June 27, 2008, in Chinle.
She was born July 28, 1923, in Low Mountain, into the Big Water
People Clan for the Salt People Clan.
Survivors include her sons, Benedict Gonnie,
Elroy Gonnie, Ben Gonnie; daughters, Elsie Turner, Alice Speen,
Esther Bahe, Mae Yazzie, Edith Gonnie, Ruth Ann John, Francine
Gonnie, Connie Ranger, Eva Welch; sister, Zonnie Cepai; 54 grandchildren;
83 great-grandchildren.
Gonnie was preceded in death by her husband,
Lee Gonnie; daughter, Anita Gonnie; parents, John and Adzan Salt;
two sisters; one brother.
Pallbearers will be family members.
The family will receive relatives and
friends at Gonnie Residence, following services.
Tse Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Marion Riffle
GALLUP Funeral services for Marion
Earl Riffle, 74, will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 1, at Sacred Heart
Cathedral. A rosary will be 7 p.m., today, June 30, at Rollie
Mortuary.
Riffle died June 26, 2008, in Gallup.
He was born Nov. 18, 1933, in Farmington.
Riffle attended high school and the UNM-Gallup
branch. He was currently employed as manager at the City Electric
Shoe Shop. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. Riffle
enjoyed fishing, welding, hunting, camping, helping others and
spoiling his grandchildren.
Survivors include his son, Domnick Riffle
of Gallup; daughter, Delle Riffle of Austin, Texas; brother, James
Riffle of Colo.; sister, Lillian Uley of Calif.; four grandchildren.
Riffle was preceded in death by his wife,
Lea Riffle; brothers, Alfred Riffle, Donald McDonald, James Barger;
sister, Lucille Riffle.
Pallbearers will be Tony Bonaguidi, Dan
Bonaguidi, Donnie McDonald, Phillilp Lopez, Mike Silva, and Antonio
Gonzalez.
The family will receive relatives and
friends at 2117 Mariyana Dr., Gallup, following services.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
