Elliotte Bitonie
MANUELITO Services
for Elliotte Bitonie, 69, will be 10 a.m., July 10, at the Twin
Buttes Church of Nazarene. The Rev. Wilkinson Sage will officiate.
Burial will be in Gallup City Cemetery.
Bitonie died July 6, 2008,
in Gallup. He was born Oct. 29, 1938, in Manuelito, into the Black
Streak of Forest People Clan for the Mexican People Clan.
Bitonie was a life resident
of Manuelito Canyon and was a sheep rancher. He helped with various
traditional ceremonies. Bitonie was employed with the Santa Fe
Railroad over 20 years.
Survivors include his
sons, Gilbert Bitoney of Thoreau, Emerson Begay of Manuelito;
daughter, Eva Begay of Manuelito; brothers, Arthur Augustine of
Alaska, Jimmie Augustine of Littlewater, Tom Pearl of Nazlini;
sisters, Eula Begay, Bessie Augustine, both of Nazlini; 22 grandchildren;
five great-grandchildren.
Bitonie was preceded in
death by his parents, Barney Bitonie and Pearl Dedman Augustine.
Pallbearers will be family
members.

Carmela Chioda
GALLUP Services
for Carmela Donata Chioda, 87, will be 11 a.m., July 12, at the
Sacred Heart Cathedral Church. Father Matthew Keller will officiate.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Gallup. Visitation will
be 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m., July 11, at Rollie Mortuary. A rosary will
be recited 7 p.m., July 11, at the Sacred Heart Cathedral Church.
Chiode died Friday, July
4, 2008, in Gallup. She was born April 20, 1921, in Cansano, Italy.
Survivors include her
sons, Dario Crispino Franco Chioda of Peoria, Salvatore Sammy
C Chioda of Gallup; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Chiode was preceded in
death by her husband, Giovannni John Chioda; father,
Pietro Antonio DiPaolo; mother, Maria Loreta Dipaolo; son, Salvatore
Chioda; daughter, Anna Maria Rosaria; brothers, Attilio Dipaolo,
Luciano Dipaolo.
Pallbearers will be Giovanni
Antonio Chioda, Frank Colaianni, Angelo Dipalo, George Malti,
Greg Plese, Attillo Dipaolo, Eric Holmes, Stanley Tafoya, Lionel
Gutierrez.
In lieu of flowers, donations
may be made to The Gallup Catholic School Foundation.

Desbah Dan
MANY FARMS Services
for Desbah Dan, 96, will be 10 a.m., July 10 at the Lutheran Church,
Many Farms. The Rev. Frankie Wood will officiate. Burial will
be in family plot, Many Farms. Visitation will be 9 a.m., July
10, at the Lutheran Church, Many Farms.
Dan died July 5, 2008,
in Many Farms. She was born April 15, 1912, in Tachii, Ariz.,
into the Bitterwater People Clan for the One Who Walks Around
People Clan.
Dan worked for Chinle
Boarding School as a residential aide. She was a rug weaver, gardener,
pottery maker and enjoyed quilting.
Survivors include her
son, Frankie Dan of Shiprock; daughters, Lucy E. Dougi of Many
Farms, Rose Mae Williams of Shonto, Alice Rose Dan of Many Farms;
brother, Kee Chee Etsitty of Tachii; 24 grandchildren.
Dan was preceded in death
by Dan Dan, Edward Dan, Lee Dan, Fred James Jr.
Pallbearers will be family
members.

Ferlin Hoskie
GALLUP Funeral
services for Ferlin Hoskie, 41, will be 10 a.m., July 11, at the
Jesus Christ of Latter-day Stake Center. Brother Robert Smith
will officiate. Burial will be in Fort Defiance. Viewing will
be 8-9:45 a.m., before service.
Hoskie died July 4, 2008, in Gallup. He was born Nov. 5, 1966,
in Fort Defiance, into the Red Running into Water People Clan
for the Red Bottom People Clan.
Hoskie graduated from
Tohatchi High School in 1984. He attended San Juan College, UTI
in Phoenix, and Fayetteville Technical Community College in Fayetteville,
N.C. Hoskie served in the US Army from 1987-1991. He was a member
of the 82nd Airbone Division.
Survivors include his
son, Brian Hoskie of Coyote Canyon.; daughter, Brianne Hoskie
of Coyote Canyon; mother, Ella R. Sloan of Gallup; brothers, Harvey
Hoskie Jr., of Gallup; grandfather, Sam Mose of Crystal; one grandchild.
Hoskie was preceded in
death by her father, Harvey Hoskie Sr.; stepfather, Wilbert Sloan;
grandmother, Frances Mose; grandparents, John and Fannie Hoskie.
Pallbearers will be Willard
Benwood Jr., Wendall Benwood, Darrell Stewart, Richard Pate, Dana
Cardy, Cameron Cardy.

8, 2008, in Colorado Springs. He was born Jan. 7, 1915, in Archer
City, TX.

Ornales died June 25,
2008, in Albuquerque. He was born Sept. 17, 1935, in Mexico.

Patrick Tsosie

for Patrick C. Tsosie, 44, will be 10 a.m., July 11, at the Our
Lady of Blessed Sacrament, Fort Defiance. Father Ron Walters,
OFM, will officiate. Burial will be in Community Cemetery, Fort
Defiance.
Tsosie died July 3, 2008,
in Grove, Ariz. He was born March 16, 1964, in Lukachukai, into
the Water Flows Together People Clan for the Bitter Water People
Clan.
Tsosie attended school
in Window Rock. He later relocated to Jay, Ok. where he was a
fire fighter for the Cherokee Nation. Tsosie enjoyed listening
to music, playing the guitar, weight lifting, fishing, traveling,
playing football, and spending time with family and friends. His
hobbies included painting, and artwork.
Survivors include her
brothers, Albert Tsosie of Jay Okla., Kevin Yazzie of Bentoville,
Arkl., Randy Yazzie of Sawmill; sisters, Roselyn Brown of Sawmill,
Evangeline Bahe, Dianne Yazzie, Tanya Yazzie, Marjorie Tso, all
of Albuquerque.
Tsosie was preceded in
death by his mother, Ella Mae Tso; brother, Harold Bernand Tsosie;
grandfather, John Anderson; grandmother, Agnes Anderson.
Pallbearers will be Randy
Yazzie, Kevin Yazzie, Lamar Brown, Aubrey Tsosie, Vernon Begay,
and Virgil Tsosie.
