TOHATCHI Funeral
services for Douglas Stephen Begay, 50, will be 10 a.m., Saturday,
Sept. 6, at the United Pentecostal Church, Tohatchi. The Rev.
Jerry Eastridge will officiate. Burial will be on family land,
Tohlakai.
Begay died Sept. 3, 2008,
in Albuquerque. He was born March 18, 1958, in Gallup.
Survivors include his
children, Yolanda Chee of Gallup, Lynndell Allen of Tohatchi,
Jason King of Albuquerque, Laramy Mike Begay of Albuquerque; mother,
Pearl Plummer Begay of Tohatchi; father, Edison A. Begay St. of
Fort Defiance; sisters, Melvina Livingston of Brimhall, Melinda
Golden of Brimhall; brothers, Edison Chip Begay Jr.
of Gallup, Edwin J. Begay of Tohatchi; 10 grandchildren.
Begay was preceded in
death by his wife, Cornilia A. Begay; daughter, Collene Edsitty;
brother, Michael E. Begay; grandparents, Hosteen Nez Begay, Hanabah
Begay, Ned Plummer Sr., Bekisbah Plummer.
Pallbearers will be Jason
Toadlena, Johnny Toadalena, Arvis Livingston, Dustin Begay, Nate
Plummer, Adrian Chee.

Billy died Wednesday,
Sept. 3, 2008, in Gallup. He was born May 6, 1970, in Gallup,
into the Towering House People Clan for the Bitter Water People
Clan.

Rena Chapo
PREWITT Funeral
services for Rena D. Chapo, 84, will be 10 a.m., Sept. 6, at the
Prewitt Assembly of God. The Rev. Ruth Droll will officiate. Burial
will be in Thoreau Community Cemetery, Thoreau.
Chapo died Aug. 31, 2008,
in Prewitt. She was born Sept. 30, 1924, in Prewitt, into the
Black Streak Wood People Clan for the Towering House People Clan.
Chapo was a sheepherder,
silversmith, rug weaver, and a homemaker. Her hobbies included
going to the flea market. She loved shopping, collecting childrens
toys, wearing jewelry, traveling, having family gatherings, especially
during Christmas, and loved to go to Chinese restaurants.
Survivors include her
husband, Dick Chapo; sons, Manley Peralto of Lake Havusu, Ariz.,
Sam L. Peralto of Prewitt, Hoskie L. Peralto of Continental Divide;
daughters, Nellie P. Vandever of Haystack, Juanita Peralto of
Grants, Kathy C. Evans of Prewitt, Cynthia Chapo of Prewitt; brothers,
Ned Delgarito of Prewitt, Roy Delgarito of Littlewater, Charley
Delgarito of Smith Lake; sister, Esther D. Garcia of Haystack;
25 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Chapo was preceded in
death by her parents, Adolpho and Emma N. Delgarito; brothers,
Kee Delgarito, Buck Delgarito, baby boy; sisters, Winnie D. Chapo,
Mary D. Long, baby girl; son, Larry L. Peralto, baby boy; 5 grandchildren;
1st huband, Lee Peralto.
Pallbearers will be Harvey
Saunders, Jimmie Brody Jr.
The family receive relatives
and friends at Prewitt Fellowship Hall, Prewitt.

mother, Dorothea B. Ruckman of North Brunswick; sister, Lynda
M. Williams of Bristol, R.I.
Foutz was preceded in
death by her father, Benjamin F. Ruckman.
