Anthony Cervantes
ALBUQUERQUE Funeral Services for Anthony
M. Cervantes, 54, was 9 a.m., today, Oct. 1, at St. Anne Catholic
Church. Burial was at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Cervantes died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008.
Survivors include his parents, Joe and Betty
Cervantes; children, Selia Cervantes, Anthony Cervantes Jr., Antoinette
Maestas, Ernest Cervantes; siblings, Steven Cervantes, Irene Sena,
John Cervantes, Dora Lajeuenesse, Phyllis Blea, Viola DeBorge,
Dolores Vigil, Gerald Cervantes; five grandchildren.
Cervantes was preceded in death by his sister,
Frances Cervantes.
Pallbearers were Steven Paul Cervantes Jr.,
Guillermo Lajeuenesse, Thomas Soto, Pat Benavidez, Max Maestas
and Juan Miguel Cervantes.
Louise Etsitty
MEXICAN SPRINGS Services are pending
for Louise S. Etsitty, 85.
Etsitty died Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, in Gallup.
She was born Aug. 20, 1923, in Tohatchi, into the Clumped Tree
People Clan for the Salt People Clan.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Edward George Sr.
DILKON, Ariz. Services for Edward D.
George Sr., 85, will be 1 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 2, at Sunflower
Butte family church. James Paddock will officiate. Burial will
be in the family plot, Indian Wells.
George died Sept. 27, 2008, in Flagstaff. He
was born Oct. 24, 1922, in Blue Gap.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian George;
son, Edward George Jr. of Quindall George; daughters, Beulah George,
Doretta Sohn, Lucinda Williams, Rosita Handley, Caneleria Eiley,
Lenish A. George, Leandra George; sister, Sarah George, Lettie
Cook; 30 grandchild; 45 great-grandchildren.
Wilfred Perrin
ALBUQUERQUE Memorial services for Wilfred
Willie Jimmy Perrin, 61, will be 10 a.m., Thursday,
Oct. 2, at Sandia Baptist Church, 9429 Constitution NE, Albuquerque.
Perrin died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, in Albuquerque.
He was born into the Waters Edge People Clan for the Towering
House People Clan.
Perrin graduated from Valley High School in
1965. He went on to study at UNM. After 1 year in college, he
was drafted and served in the Army until 1969. Then he worked
for the BIA and later for the NIYC. Perrin enjoyed visiting relatives
and friends.
Survivors include his daughter, Verlene Irene
Perrin; sister, Winifred J. Perrin-McClammy of Albuquerque; three
grandchildren
Perrin was preceded in death by his parents,
Wilfred J. Perrin, Sr. and Frances Capitan.
Jim Yazzie
Correction for Jim Yazzie
Survivors include his wife, Maimie Yazzie; daughters, Alice Clinchers,
Gladys Yazzie, Phoebe Thomas, Laura Teller, Aurelia Nelson, Rhoda
Clah; 25 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren.
Yazzie was preceded in death by his father,
Charley Yazzie; mother, Geebah Tsosie; two sons; two daughters.
LOW MOUNTAIN Graveside services for Jim
Yazzie, 94, will be 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 3, in Low Mountain,
Ariz. Larry Furcap will officiate. Burial will be in the family
plot, Low Mountain.
Yazzie was born May 22, 1915, near Blue Gap,
Ariz., into the Towering House People Clan for the Water Edge
People Clan.
Yazzie was a U.S. Army WWII Veteran. He was
a farmer, rancher and horse trainer. He participated in rodeos
and had a passion for horses.
Survivors include his wife, Maimie Yazzie; daughters,
Alice Clinchers, Gladys Yazzie, Phoebe Thomas, Laura Teller, Aurelia
Nelson, Rhoda Clah; 24 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren.
Yazzie was preceded in death by his father,
Charley Yazzie; mother, Geebah Tsosie; two sons; two daughters;
one grandson; one granddaughter.
Pallbearers will be Arnie Tsosie, Ernie Tsosie,
Sankey Tsosie, Randall Tsosie, Elijah Tsosie, Jeremy LaMesa.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the family home
in Low Mountain, Ariz., following services.
Tse Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
