Harry Harlow
CROSS CANYON Services for Harry Soenz Harlow, 64, will
be 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 10, at St. Michaels Catholic Church,
St. Michaels. The Rev. Bernard Doeger, O.F.M., will officiate.
Burial will be in Community Cemetery, Kinlichee. Visitation will
be 9 a.m., one hour prior to service.
Harlow died Oct. 4, 2008, in Cross Canyon. He was born March 31,
1944, in Ganado, into the Waters Edge People Clan for the
Black Streaked Forest People Clan.
Harlow attended Kinlichee Boarding School, Intermountain Indian
School, Chilaco Oklahoma. He was employed in Los Angeles, Calif.,
Wilson Pinta Construction Company, Frank Fransico Construction,
carpentry jobs.
Survivors include his mother, Priscilla Harlow of Cross Canyon;
brothers, Harrison Spencer, Chester Harlow, both of Cross Canyon;
sisters, Stella M. Begay of Gallup, Mabel Belone of Navajo, Maybelle
McCabe of Idaho.
Harlow was preceded in death by his father, Junior Harlow; sisters,
Delphine Harlow, Patricia Mae Harlow Tso; brother, Larry Harlow;
grandmother, Mae Shorty.
Pallbearers will be Ferguson Belone, Larison Johnson, Remo H.
Begay, Chester Harlow, Louie H. Begay.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the family residence
in Cross Canyon, following services.

Robert Keenan
GALLUP Memorial services for Robert Christopher Keenan,
69, was noon, Oct. 8 at NCI, Gallup.
Keenan died Oct. 5, 2008, in Albuquerque. He was born Aug. 28,
1939, in Philadelphia.
Keenan received his Bachelor degree from Western New Mexico and
Doctorate from American University. He was employed at NCI for
the last several years.
Survivors include his sons, Gaylan Clark, John P. Keenan, Shawn
Keenan, Luke Keenan; daugther, Erin Geddes; sisters, Joann Gerard,
Rita OConnor; six grandchildren.
Navolina Salcido
GRANTS Funeral Mass for Navolina Maria Salcido, 80, will
be 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 10, at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
Burial will be in Grants Memorial Park. The Very Rev. Alberto
Avella will be the celebrant. A rosary will be 7 p.m., tonight,
Oct. 9, at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
Salcido died Oct. 8, 2008, in Grants. She was born Nov. 15, 1927,
in Sena, N.M.
Salcido was a devoted wife and mother all of her life. Survivors
include her children, Beatrice Chavez of Grants, Annie Lopez of
Grants, Frank Salcido Jr. of Grants, Connie Knox of Rio Rancho,
Gilbert Salcido of Grants, Alice Salcido of Grants; brother, Bernie
Gonzales of Rio Rancho; sisters, Nia Villegos of Grants, Carmen
Gonzales of Milan, Adlina Ballard of Albuquerque; 12 grandchildren;
15 great-grandchildren.
Salcido was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Salcido Sr.;
parents, Antonio Gonzales, Saneida Griego Gonzales; brothers,
Johnny Gonzales, Bennie Gonzales, Tim Gonzales, Tony Gonzales;
sister, Rita Molena; one grandson.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Salcido, Andy Lopez, Robin Lopez,
Eugene Chavez, Salvador Chavez, Tim Knox.

Peter Tsosie
SAWMILL Funeral Mass for Peter Tsosie, 76, will be 10
a.m., Friday, Oct. 10, at the Our Lady of The Blessed Sacrament,
Fort Defiance. Burial will be in Fort Defiance Cemetery. Visitation
will be 9 a.m., one hour prior to services.
Tsosie died Oct. 6, 2008, in Winslow. He was born Aug. 15, 1932,
in Sawmill, into the Tangle People Clan for the Meadow People
Clan.
Tsosie attended Shilicco Indian School and St. Louis Relocation
Program. He worked with old Navajo Forestry Product Industries
in Sawmill and Navajo. He also worked in Idaho as a cattle rancher.
In his community, he worked as a carpenter and sheep herder.
Tsosie was preceded in death by his mother, Yeacozbah Tsosie;
sisters, Margaret Begay, Hasbah.
Pallbearers will be family members.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Sawmill Chapter
House, following services.
