Elizabeth Peck
MOORESVILLE Memorial services for Elizabeth
Betty Ann Peck, 90, will be were Thursday, Oct. 2,
at the Mooreville Church of God, Mooresville, Ind. The Rev. Jeremy
Towne officiated.
Peck died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, in Mooresville.
She was born June 17, 1918, in Manhattan, Kan.
Peck moved to Gallup in 1955. The family owned and
operated the former Kachina Cafe and cafeteria for many
years. Many Gallupians have fond memories of the tasty dishes
served there and the homemade pies, which Peck made daily from
scratch. She moved to Fresno, Calif. and then to Mooresville,
in 2001.
Survivors include her sons, Roger Morris of Gallup,
John Morris of Yorba Linda, Calif.; daughters, Martha Ann Peck,
Marguerite Fisher, both of Mooresville; three grandchildren; two
great-grandchildren.
Peck was preceded in death by her parents, Charles
and Martha Titus; brother, Charles Titus; daughters, Judith Marilyn
Morris, Mary Pat Fredrick.

Norman Bedonie
FARMINGTON Funeral services for Norman Skipp
David Bedonie, 50, will be 11 a.m., Saturday at Oasis Assembly
of God Church 1601 N. Dustin Ave., Farmington. Burial will be
at Greenlaw Cemetery. The Rev. Randy Joslin will officiate.
Bedonie died Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, in Farmington.
He was born Feb.10, 1958, in Belmont, Ariz., into the Enemy Bear
People Clan for the Tangle Water People Clan.
Bedonies early childhood education was at Flagstaff Unified
school District and Kayenta School District. He attended and graduated
from high school at Navajo Methodist Mission in 1977. He participated
in football, basketball and track. In 1976, he was a member of
the Eagles runner-up team at the New Mexico State basketball
tournament. After graduating from high school he worked for APS
in Fruitland and later for different industries in the Phoenix
area. Bedonie worked as a handyman, fixing and renovating homes
for local residents in the area.
Survivors include his wife, Marie; brothers, Michael
of Flagstaff, Walt of Farmington, Tim of Fruitland; sons, Tyee
C. of Las Cruces, Jared of Gallup; daughter, Krystal of Gallup;
one grandson; step-son, Everett Benally; step-daughter, Jennifer
Erica Benally; two step-grandkids all of Tucson, Az.
Bedonie was preceded in death by his parents, Chee
& Ethel Bedonie; brother, Chee Jake Bedonie Jr.
Wesley Tom
TSE YAH TOH Services for Wesley Tom, 35,
will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 18, at the Word of the Establishment
Ministries, Yahtahey. The Rev. Bob Huber will officiate. Burial
will be in Gallup City Cemetery.
Tom died Oct. 14, 2008, in Tse Yah Toh. He was born
Aug. 27, 1973, in Gallup, into the Black Streaked Forest People
Clan for the Salt Water People Clan.
Tom attended Tse Bonito Elementary School, and graduated
from Gallup High School in 1994. He got vocational training from
Albuquerque in welding. He worked in the oil and gas industry
and worked on drilling rigs. His hobbies included being outdoors,
camping, bike riding, he like to play football and baseball. He
was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins. He liked to play the
position pitcher in every baseball game he played.
Survivors include his daughter, Taylor Leslie Tom
of Gallup; parents, Lorenzo and Susie James of Tseyahtoh; brother,
Shawn James of Tseyahtoh; sisters, Rachel Harvey of Iyanbito,
Shawna James of Tseyahtoh; grandmother, Nora James of Tseyahtoh.
Pallbearers will be Leroy James, Jimmy James Jr., Alexander James,
Darrell Dubois, Arnold Blackgoat, Nathaniel James.
Silver Creek Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Louise Morgan
MANUELITO CANYON Services are pending for
Louise Morgan, 93.
Morgan died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, in Gallup.
She was born Dec. 15, 1917, in Manuelito Canyon, into the Black
Sheep People Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
