Maryn Eversole
BLUEWATER Services for Maryn Glenabah Eversole, 25 will
be announced at a later date. Eversole died Nov. 1, 2008 in rural
Cibola County. She was born Nov. 23, 1982 in Gallup.
Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Sarah James
CHINLE Services for Sarah Anne James,
56, will be at 10 a.m., today, Nov. 3, 2008 at Our Lady of Fatima,
in Chinle. The Rev. Blane will officiate. Burial will follow in
the Chinle Community Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services, at 9 a.m., at the
church.
James died Oct. 29, 2008 in Shiprock. She
was born may 7, 1952 in Ganado, Ariz., into the Coyote Pass for
the Towering House People Clan.
James attended the schools in Chinle. She
worked at the IHS Hospital in Chinle. Her hobbies included Navajo
rug weaving, knitting, homemaking and quilting. She enjoyed listening
to music.
Survivors include her sons, Roland James,
Jerry James, Gerald James, Daryl James, all of Chinle and Many
Farms; daughters Rolanda James, Yolanda James, Raelynn James,
all of Many Farms; brothers Tony D. Begay Sr., Stanley T. Begay,
Dennison Begay, Kee D. Begay Jr., Jerry Begay, Nathaniel Begay,
all of Chinle; sisters Susie Yazzie of Chinle, Alta Zinonian of
Farmington, Marlene Tsosie, Charlene Begay, Elvira Martin, Irma
Tsosie, all of Chinle; seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond
James of Salina Spring, Ariz.; parents Kee D. Begay and Louise
Begay, both of Chinle
The family will receive relatives and friends 4.5 miles north
of the Chinle Bashas after services.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Lee Yazzie
STEAMBOAT, Ariz. Services for Lee Jr.
Yazzie, 68, will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008 at All Saints
Catholic Church in Ganado, Ariz. Burial will follow at the community
cemetery in Ganado. Visitation will be at 9 a.m., one hour prior
to services, at the church.
Yazzie died Oct. 30, 2008 in Flagstaff, Ariz.
He was born July 20, 1941 in Steamboat into the Bitter Water People
Clan for the Edgewater People Clan.
He worked as a bus driver for Ganado Schools
and also at the post office in Ganado. He enjoyed being with family
and his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Helen B. Yazzie; sons, Vincent Yazzie
Jr., of Steamboat, Benson Yazzie, Anderson Tsosie, Wilson Tsosie,
all from Payson, Ariz.; daughters Mete Nelson, Linda Jameson,
Arlene Tsosie, all from Payson, Grace Tsosie of Montezuma Creek,
Utah; brother Jack Yazzie from Phoenix; sister Mae Dick, Sally
Navajo, both of Steamboat; 28 grandchildren and one great-grandchildren.
Yazzie was preceded in death by his parents John Sam and Marion
Yazzie and one brother John Yazzie Sr.
Pallbearers will be Wilson Tsosie, Anderson
Tsosie, Tommy Yazzie, Vincent Yazzie, Stancy Antonio and Josh.
The famliy will receive relatives and friends
seven miles west of the Burnside Junction at Helen Yazzies
residents.
Tse Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
