Juanita Yazzie

LOW MOUNTAIN — Graveside services for Juanita Yazzie, 48, will be 1 p.m. March 22, at the Jeddito Cemetery. Evangelist Francis Shirley will officiate. Burial will follow in Jeddito Cemetery.

Yazzie died March 14, 2008, in Mariano Lake. She was born Oct. 6, 1959, in Summit, into the Honey Comb Rock People Clan for the Water’s Edge People Clan.

Yazzie attended Toyei schools.

Survivors include her sons, Darryl Keeto, John Keeto; daughters, Valerie Keeto, Debbie Keeto; brothers, Kenneth Yazzie, Lorenzo Tzinichini Jr.; sisters, Lena Yazzie of Flagstaff, Lola Billy of Piñon, Linda Peterson of Gallup, Cecelia Tzinichini of Albuquerque; six grandchildren.

Yazzie was preceded in death by her father, Kee Yazzie; mother, Nellie Tzinichini.

Pallbearers will be David Baker, Kenneth Yazzie, Darryl Keeto, John Keeto, Ricky Peterson, and Kendall Yazzie.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Christine Gorman’s residence in Steamboat, following services.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Rhiannen Lee

CANONCITO, N.M. — Services for Rhiannen Melissa Lee, 8, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, March 22, at Cope Memorial Chapel, Gallup.

Burial will be in family land, Pinedale.

Lee died March 18, 2008, in Albuquerque. She was born Oct. 18, 1999, in Gallup, into the Edge Water People Clan for the Deer Springs People Clan and the Water Flows Together People Clan for the Two Who Came to Water People Clan.

Lee attended Painted Sky Elementary School, Albuquerque to the 2nd grade. She enjoyed traveling, painting, and fishing. She was an upcoming food critic.

Survivors include her parents, Damon Lee, Melissa Morgan, both of Tohajiilee; grandparents, Ben B. and Inez Morgan of Pinedale, Tom and Anna Nez of Thoreau.

Pallbearers will be Donald C. Frank, Don C. Frank Jr., Travis Mariano, Cobin Bo Willie, Cody Ron Willie, and Kyle Aragon.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Pinedale Chapter House, following services.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Thomasina Ellison

MANUELITO / JONES RANCH — Funeral services for Thomasina Jean Ellison, 28, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at Rollie Mortuary, Gallup. Pastor David Duboise will officiate.

Burial will be in Gallup City Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-4:30 p.m. today, March 21, at Rollie Mortuary.

Ellison died March 17, 2008, in Albuquerque. She was born April 26, 1979, in Gallup, into the Mexican-Navajo People Clan for the Meadow People Clan.

Ellison attend Jefferson, Roosevelt, and Washington Elementary School. She graduated from Gallup High School in 1998. After graduating, she attended New Mexico State University pursuing a degree in computer science. She was employed at Las Cruces Toyota and White Sands Missile Range for several years. She enjoyed playing on the Las Cruces City Softball League and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her parents, Cindy Smith-Joe of Jones Ranch, Thomas Ellison of Manuelito; step-parents, Leo Joe of Burnt Corn Valley, Ariz., Etta Patterson of Manuelito; sisters, Emily Ellison of Manuelito/Jones Ranch, Leona Joe of Jones Ranch, Pamela Ellison, Katera Ellison, both of Manuelito; brothers, Vaughn Smith, Leighton Joe, Sheldon Joe, Matthew Ellison, Thomas Ellison Jr., William Ellison, Ethan Ellison, Marcus Mariano of Thoreau; grandparents, Mary Mariano of Jones Ranch, Kee Ellison of Manuelito.

Ellison was preceded in death by her grandmother, Dolly Ellison; grandfather, Richard Smith.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Yazzie, Quintin Mariano, Andy Mariano, Tenadore Ellison, Donovan Ellison, Sheridan Francis, Marvin Spencer and Donald Casuse.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Manuelito Chapter House, following services.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Aaron Wauneka

CRYSTAL — Memorial services for Aaron Jay Wauneka, 30, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, March 22, at Crystal Chapter House, Crystal.

Wauneka died March 15, 2008. He was born June 8, 1977.

Survivors include his mother, Joann Wauneka; stepfather, Leonard Manuelito; brother, Robert Manuelito; sisters, Amanda Jo Wauneka, Jeri Manuelito, Kristina Manuelito, Olivia Manuelito.
