for Shirley Joe Becenti, 42.
Becenti died Saturday May 3, 2008 in Farmington.
She was born March 29, 1966, in Shiprock.
Desert View Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
NAZLINI — Funeral services for Mary Tracy
Vanwinkle, 87, will be 10 a.m. May 7, at the Our Lady of Fatima
Catholic Church, Chinle. Father Blaine Grein, OFM, will officiate.
Burial will be in family plot, Nazlini. Visitation will be 9 a.m.
May 7, at the Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Chinle.
Vanwinkle died May 2, 2008, in Scottsdale. She
was born Dec. 18, 1920, in Nazlini, into the Start of the Red
Streak People Clan for the Red Running Into the Water People Clan.
Vanwinkle was a CAC committee member for 10
years. She was also a homemaker, rug weaver and rancher.
Survivors include her sons, John M. Yazzie of Sawmill, Luther
Vanwinkle of Nazlini, Jonathan Vanwinkle of Nazlini; daughters,
Tressia Dedman of Chinle, Sophia Vanwinkle of San Leandro, CA.;
brohter, Bernard Tracy of Nazlini; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren.
Vanwinkle was preceded in death by her husband,
Jones Vanwinkle; daughter, Laura Vanwinkle; mother, Pauline Begaye;
father, Hosteen Gadi Begay, brothers, Howard Tracy, Denny Begay
Sr.; sister, Irene Dalgai.
Pallbearers will be family members and relatives.
Silver Creek Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
