Francisco Jauregui
GALLUP — Funeral services for Francisco “Frank” Jauregui, 83, will be 11 a.m., April 23, at Fellowship Church, Gallup. Minister Grace Lueras will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Gallup. Visitation will be 1-5 p.m., today, April 22. A rosary will be recited 6:30 p.m., tonight, April 22, at Rollie Mortuary.
Jauregui died April 18, 2009, in Gallup. He was born Feb. 14, 1926, in El Paso, Texas.
Jauregui got his high school diploma. He worked 18 years with Santa Fe Railway and 22 years with City of Gallup. He loved hunting, being outdoors, working on cars, and his dog Red.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Jauregui; son, Felipe Jauregui; daughters, Josie Paiz, Irene Montoya; brother, Zeke Jauregui; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Jauregui was preceded in death by his mother, Florentina Jauregui; father, Felipe O. Jauregui; brother, Pedro Alcantar.
Pallbearers will be Joe Paiz Sr., Andrew Jaquez, Ron Chavez, Salvador Asebedo, Jerry Montoya Sr., Jerry Montoya Jr., Juanito “Johnny” Paiz Jr., Victor Rodriguez.
The family will receive relatives and friends at 315 E. Jefferson, Gallup, following services.
Mary Lewis
ELKO, Nev. — Funeral services for Mary A. Lewis, 86, will be at a later date, in Prescott, Ariz. Burial will be at a later date.
Lewis died April 12, 2009. She was born July 1, 1922, in Fort Defiance.
Lewis attended St. Catherin’s Indian School, Santa Fe and graduated from Cathedral High School, Gallup. She lived in Prescott since 1954.
After the death of her husband, Lewis moved to Elko with her daughter.
Survivors include her sons, Anthony Lewis of Laughlin, Nev., Donald Lewis of Flagstaff; daughters, Ann Adams of Elko, Nev., Geraldine Doty of Phoenix; brothers, Joseph Rivera of Arkansas, Leonard Rivera of Riverside, Calif.; sisters, Louise Reed, Lilly Bernal, both of Gallup, Sister Celestine of Springfield, Ill.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
Lewis was preceded in death by her husband, Archie A. Lewis; parents, Celso Rivera, Crescentia Gishebegay; brothers, Anthony Rivera, Edward Rivera.
Geraldine Morgan-Yan
PINEDALE — Services are pending for Geraldine Morgan-Yan.
A family gathering will be 5 p.m., tonight, April 22, at Pinedale Chapter.
