Albert Begay

SHIPROCK — Funeral services for Albert Begay, 44, will be 10 a.m., Thursday, May 7, at Desert View Funeral Home, Shiprock. Tom White will officiate. Burial will be in family cemetery, Table Mesa.

Begay died May 2, 2009, Gallup. He was born Sept. 6, 1964, in Shiprock.

He attended school at Sanostee Boarding School and Newcomb High. He enjoyed riding horses, camping, fishing and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Ennis of Gallup; father, Gilbert Begay of Table Mesa; brothers, Jimmy Begay of Little Water, Larry Begay of Table Mesa; sisters, Anna Peter of Sanostee, Angie Curley of Fruitland, Bertha Begay of Table Mesa, Rosemary Begay, Berlinda Begay of Salt Lake City, Lorena Washburn of Table Mesa; children, Ariel Begay of Gallup, Terrance Begay of Carlsbad, Kendall Begay of Alb., Devona Begay of Carlsbad, Celeste McDonald of Carlsbad, Aldon Begay of Gallup, Kim Ennis, Mike Ennis, Lindsey Ennis, Ashley Ennis all of Sheridan, Wyo.; five grandchildren.

Begay was preseded in death by his mother, Fannie Begay.

Pallbearers will be Terrance Begay, Adrian Begay, Tyson Begay, Zack Begay, Roland Washburn, Davidson Washburn, Dewayne Washburn and Brandon Hunt.

Anthony Ferrari

TUCSON — Services for Anthony Ferrari, 82, will be 10 a.m., Friday, May 8, at Sacred Heart Cathedral.

Ferrari died Friday, May 1, 2009, in Tucson. He was born Feb. 9, 1927, in Tucson.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Josephine Garcia

GALLUP — Services for Josephine D. Garcia, 81, will be 10:30 a.m., May 7, at Little Sisters of the Poor, Gallup. The Rev. Alfred Tachias will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Gallup.

Visitation will be 1-4:30 p.m., May 5, at Rollie Mortuary. A rosary will be recited 7 p.m., May 6, at Little Sisters of the Poor.

Garcia died May 2, 2009, in Gallup. She was born Jan. 27, 1928, in Golden, N.M.

Garcia loved children and sweets. She loved to worship and fellowship.

Survivors include her sons, Louie Garcia, Raymond Garcia; daughter, Lupe Leyba; sister, Anita Fierros; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.Garcia was preceded in death by her parents, Alberto and Margarita DeLara; sisters, Cecelia Martinez, Virginia Gutierrez; brother, Raymond DeLara; son, Lawrence G. Garcia.

Pallbearers will be Lawrence Garcia, Brian Garcia, Adam Leyba, Isaac Leyba, Joshua Ray Garcia, Josiah Wright, Jeremy Wright, Joshua Jacob Garcia.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Little Sisters of the Poor 1:30 p.m., following services.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Joseph Merrill Jr.

SANDERS — Services are pending for Joseph Merrill Jr., 22.

Merrill died Thursday, April 30, 2009, in Grand Canyon National Park. He was born Sept. 30, 1986, in Smith Town, New York.

Mark Merrill

SANDERS — Services are pending for Mark David Merrill, 16.

Merrill died Thursday, April 30, 2009, in Grand Canyon National Park. He was born Jan. 2, 1993, in Mineola, New York.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Danny Tso

COTTONWOOD — Funeral services for Danny H. Tso, 65, will be 10 a.m., Thursday, May 7, at Black Mountain Mission. Burial will be in family plot, Black Mountain. Visitation will be at Tse Bonito Mortuary.

Tso died May 2, 2009, in Black Mountain. He was born May 7, 1944, in Black Mountain, into the Coyote Pass People Clan for the Water Flows Together People Clan.

Tso attended school in Brigham City, Utah. He worked in Nebraska North Flot Railroad. He moved back to Black Mountain to herd sheep for family members.

Survivors include his brothers, Danet Tso, Joe Tso; sister, Linda Tso.

Tso was preceded in death by his parents, Hosteen and Aszaan Nez.

Pallbearers will be Fredo Tso, Marlin Brainbridge, Franklin Tso, Jerriston John, Freddie Tso, Vandever Merritt.

The family will receive relatives and friends at family residence, Black Mountain, following services.

The family will meet at 6 p.m., nightly until services.

Tse Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Lowery Tsosie

STEAMBOAT — Services for Lowery Johnson Tsosie “OJ”, 22, will be 10 a.m., May 7, at Navajo Bethel Baptist Church, Steamboat. Burial will be in family plot, Steamboat.

Tsosie died May 1, 2009, in Ganado. He was born Feb. 15, 1987, in Keams Canyon, into the Edge of Water People Clan for the Honeycomb People Clan.

Tsosie attended Holbrook High School, graduated from Ganado High School, class of 2005, and was currently attending UNM, class of 2009. He was a song writer and loved playing his guitar and loved his dog.

Survivors include his parents, Larry and Rodalie Tsosie of Steamboat; brother, Lathain Tsosie; grandparents, Sam and Susie Jesus of Steamboat.

Tsosie was preceded in death by his brothers, Loren Tsosie, Jesus Villalobos; grandparents, Johnson and Marie Tsosie.

Pallbearers will be Juan Villalobos, Kevin Quantimptewa, Borwen Begay, Darrell Meyer, Ron Begay, Jonathan Tenorio.

The family will receive relatives and friends at family residence 1/4 mile northeast of Steamboat Chapter House N.H.A. #7, following services.
