Roseline Ebaugh

ALBUQUERQUE — Funeral Mass for Roseline Wilson Ebaugh, 49, will be 11 a.m., Saturday, May 9, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tohatchi. The Rev. Bob Ross will officiate. Burial will be in Twin Lakes family plot. A rosary will be recited 10:30 a.m., May 9, at St. Mary Catholic Church.

Ebaugh died May 4, 2009, in Albuquerque. She was born Nov. 27, 1959, in Winslow, into the Red Running Into the Water People Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.

Ebaugh attended UNM and Tohatchi High School. She was employed with First Nations, Albuquerque Dineh Voters Project and was a volunteer as a DJ KUNM Singing Wire as Radio Rose, Sage Council, Board member, Advisory board member “All My Relations”, member of National Indian Youth Council, Navajo vote coordinator for Navajos in Albuquerque.

Survivors include her sons, Joseph James Ebaugh, Justin Jeremy Ebaugh, Carson Gilmore Lafferty, all of Albuquerque; mother, Louise K. Wilson of Twin Lakes; sisters, Elsie Barber of Rio Rancho, Elouise Lee of Twin Lakes, Ella Rose Wilson of Gallup, Carol Wilson of Twin Lakes, Judy Wilson of Albuquerque; one grandchild.
Ebaugh was preceded in death by her father, James Wilson.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Twin Lakes Chapter House, 1 p.m., May 9, following services.

Wallace Keyaanie

CORNFIELDS — Graveside services for Wallace Lee Keyaanie, 49, were 10 a.m., May 8, at Cornfields Community Cemetery. Brother John Hotstream will officiate. Burial will be in Cornfields Community Cemetery.

Keyaanie died May 1, 2009, in Cortez, Colo. He was born Oct. 3, 1959, in Ganado, into the Cliff Dwellers People Clan for the One Walks Around People Clan.

Keyaanie graduated from Many Farms High School. He attended NATC in Tempe and CIT in Crownpoint. He served as the President of Cornfields C.L.U.P Committee. He was also a Sergeant at Arms with KVO and enjoyed fishing, hunting, mechanics, traveling and livestock.

Survivors include his daughter, Johanna Keyannie; parents, Mary Helen Keyaanie of Cornfields; sisters, Teresa Thompson of Cornfields, Ann Ruth Ray of Spokane, Wash.; one grandchild.

Keyaanie was preceded in death by his father, James; brothers, David , Paul, Dennis, James Keyaanie.

Pallbearers will be Alexander Johnson, Dennis Keyonnie Jr., Thaine Guy, Troy Guy, Justin Wilson Jr., James Ray Keyonnie.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Cornfields Chapter, following services.

Tse Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Peter Peterman

CHURCHROCK — Funeral services for Peter N. Peterman, 53, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, May 9, at Rollie Mortuary, Gallup. The Rev. Mark Thomas will officiate. Private Disposition will be in family plot, Rock Springs.

Peterman died May 14, 2009, in Churchrock. He was born Dec. 25, 1955, in Rehoboth, into the Red Running Into the Water People Clan for the Anglo People Clan.

Peterman graduated from Albuquerque Indian School in 1974. He was an artist and master craftsman. He was a Sergeant at Arms of High Plains Drifters motorcycle club. Peterman enjoyed restoring custom Harley Davidson motorcycles, black smithing, reading and being outdoors.

Survivors include his wife, Sherry Peterman of Churchrock; brothers, Eugene Peterman of Sundance, Ron “Wars” Peterman of Farmington, Joe Peterman of Continental Divide; sisters, Winona Shirley of Rock Springs, Pam Peterson of Twin Lakes.

Peterman was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph J. Peterman, Nellie Peterman; grandparents, Tom Shorty, Nettie Tom Shorty.

Pallbearers will be High Plains Drifters Motorcycle Club.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Winona Shirley residence, Rock Springs, following services.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

William Upshaw Jr.

GALLUP — Services are pending for William “Mickey” Upshaw Jr., 73.

Upshaw died Wednesday, May 6, 2009. He was born Dec. 7, 1935, in Rehoboth, into the Sioux People Clan for the Folded Arms People Clan.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
