Deaths

James Boyd

GALLUP — Services for James (Jim) Wallace Boyd, 86, will be at a later date.

Boyd was a veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a glider and airplane electrical mechanic. He loved working on cars and loved his family.

Survivors include his wife, Nina J. Boyd; sons, Jimmy W. Boyd of Bonaza, Ore., Louis W. Boyd of Chesapeake, Va.; daughter, Jeanette Boyd of Gallup; brother, William Boyd of Tucson; sister, Shirley Wyatt of Knoxville, Tenn., Patty Krems of West Mountain, Ill.; four grandchildren.

Boyd was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Grace Boyd.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Nancy Grey

NAHODISHGISH — Funeral services for Nancy Alice Grey, 68, will be 10 a.m., Monday, June 15, at Navajo Baptist Church, Crownpoint. The Rev. Jimmie Etsitty, will officiate. Burial will be in community cemetery, Crownpoint.

Grey died June 10. 2009, in Gallup. She was born Aug. 13, 1941, in Crownpoint, into the Towering House People Clan for the Water Flows Together People Clan.

Grey was a homemaker, worked at PHS Crownpoint and a community worker in Dalton Pass.

Survivors include her son, Lucas Bebo of Crownpoint; brother, Johnny Guy; one grandchild.
Grey was preceded in death by her parents, Lincoln and Alice Grey; sister, Louise Grey.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Tolth, Augustine Chiquito, Randon Bitsilly, Lucas Bebo, Freddie Chiquitos, Benjamin Morgan.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Gilbert Lee

HUNTERS POINT — Services for Gilbert Lee, 34, will be 10 a.m., Monday, June 15, at Our Lady of Blessed Sacrament, Fort Defiance. The Rev. Gilbert Schneider, OFM, will officiate. Burial will be in family plot, Hunter’s Point. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.

Lee died June 11, 2009, in Hunters Point. He was born Oct. 9, 1974, in Fort Defiance.

Lee worked in various places doing spot jobs. He enjoyed listening to country music, reading, being with his family and joking with friends and family.

Survivors include his daughter, Kimberly Lee of Burnside; parents, Helen Bennet and Clara Brown of Hunters Point; brother, Raymond Lee of Vanderwagen.

Lee was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Hoskie and Josephine Thompson; grandfather, Thomas Lee Sr.; brothers, Howard Notah, James Notah, Harry Notah Sr., Albert Notah, Thomas Lee Jr., Andy Lee, Terry Lee, Phillip Lee, Norman Lee, Jackson Lee; step-father, Jerry Brown.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Clara Brown and Stella Lee residence, 1/4 mile north of Hunters Point.

Michael Lee

HUNTERS POINT — Services for Michael Ricky Lee, 32, will be 10 a.m., Monday, June 15, at Our Lady of Blessed Sacrament, Fort Defiance. The Rev. Gilbert Schneider, OFM, will officiate. Burial will be in family plot, Hunter’s Point. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.

Lee died June 11, 2009, in Hunters Point. He was born Aug. 26, 1976, in Fort Defiance, into the Edge Water People Clan for the Salt People Clan.

Lee worked in various areas in Phoenix, Tuba City as a roofer, Fort Defiance IHS, and spot jobs. His hobbies included horseback riding, reading and crosswords. He enjoyed being with his family, helping others and making jokes.

Survivors include his parents, Herbert Yazzie of St. Michaels, Stella Lee of Hunters Point; brothers, Johnson Dawes II, Jonathan Dawes; sisters, Serena Dawes, Selena Dawes, Cerelle Dawes; grandmother, Clara Brown of Hunters Point.

Lee was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Hoskie and Josephine Thompson; grandfathers, Thomas lee Singer, Jerry Brown; sister, Estella Dawes.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Clara Brown and Stella Lee residence, 1/4 mile north of Hunters Point.

Frederick Watson

ROCK SPRINGS — Services are pending for Frederick Kelly Watson, 32.

Watson died June 9, 2009, in Albuquerque. He was born July 23, 1976, in Rock Springs.

A family meeting will be 5 p.m., today, June 13, at Ella Long’s home, Rock Springs.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
