Mike Benally Sr.

CHURCHROCK — Funeral services for Mike Benally Sr., 78, will be 11 a.m., June 16, at Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center, Gallup.

Branch President Pine will officiate. Burial will be Sunset Memorial Park, Gallup. Visitation will be 10 a.m., June 16, at Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center.

Benally died June 11, 2009, in Churchrock. He was born April 30, 1931, in Pinedale.

Benally was a hard working father of nine who worked various jobs. He retired from Kerr McGree Mine. He was always around for his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Sadie Benally; sons, Herbert Benally, Eddie Albert, James Benally, all of Churchrock, Howard Benally of Kearns, Utah; daughters, Annie Tom of Black Hate, Julia Carlton of Castle Rock, Colo., Judy Buffalohead of Churchrock; brother, Raymond Benally of Fort Defiance; 24 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

Benally was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Benally Sr., Marieta Moore; brothers, Arther Benally, Lorenzo Benally; sister, Rosita Benally.

Pallbearers will be James Benally, Howard Benally, Albert Benally, Eddie Benally, Herbert Benally, Sean Carlton.

The family will meet at Churchrock Chapter, following services.

Helen Morgan

STANDING ROCK — Services are pending for Helen S. Morgan, 77.

Morgan died Friday, June 12, 2009, in Albuquerque. She was born Dec. 22, 1931, in Standing Rock.

Betty Yazzie

ROCK SPRINGS — Funeral services are pending for Betty Ann Yazzie, 56.

Yazzie died June 12, 2009, in Gallup. She was born June 1, 1953, in Gallup.

A family gathering will be 6 p.m., tonight, June 15, at Rock Springs Chapter.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Rosemary Yazzie-Tom

MENTMORE — Funeral services for Rosemary Yazzie-Tom, 62, will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 16, at Cope Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Eddie Goody will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Gallup.

Yazzie-Tom died June 11, 2009, in Gallup. She was born Aug. 27, 1946, in Rehoboth, into the Salt People Clan for the meadow People Clan.

Yazzie-Tom worked at Travel Lodge Hotel and Days Inn as a house keeper. She enjoyed being around her family and loved being with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughters, Sharon Samuels of Mentmore, Karen Joe of Gallup, Geraldine Yazzie of Mentmore; sisters, Carol Ann Yazzie of Gallup, Clara Kelburn of Gamerco, Christine Charley of Gallup; 18 grandchildren.

Yazzie-Tom was preceded in death by her parents, Caroline Hunt, Warren Yazzie; sons, Wilburt Tom, Wilford Tom; brothers, Leonard Hunt, Jerry Yazzie, Donald Yazzie; grandmother, Agnes Long.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Kenny, Michael Charley, Larry Livingston Jr., Christopher Florence Jr., William Bennett, Peggy Martinez.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Tse-Ya-Toh Chapter House, 1:30 p.m., following services.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sharon Samuels, Cope Memorial Chapel, Sunset Memorial Park.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
