Wayne Curley

LUPTON/BITTER SPRING — Funeral services for Wayne W. Curley, 46, will be 10 a.m., Monday, July 6, at Lupton Valley Community Church. The Rev. Ronnie Yazzie will officiate. Burial will be in family plot, Lupton.

Curley died July 1, 2009, in Bitter Springs. He was born Sept. 20, 1962, in Gallup, into the Water Edge People Clan for the Saline Water People Clan.

Curley graduated from Valley High School, Sanders. He attended trade school at the Southwestern Indian Polyfeshire Institute, Albuquerque.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice Fowler; sons, Archie S. Curley, Brandon B. Curley; daughters, Tallethea Curley, Creeinda Curley, Syhia Curley; parents, Marie and Fred Etsitty, Lloyd Curley; brothers, Raymond Coleman, Eldridge Etsitty, Reggie Curley; sister, Wendy Curley; two grandchildren.

Curley was preceded in death by John and Mary Coleman, Glee Wauneka.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Curley, Randall Comb, Terrill Lee, Larry White, Jerry Spencer Sr., Alfred Baker.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Lupton Chapter House, Lupton.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

John Francisco

QUERINO CANYON — Services for John Lee Francisco, 67, were 10 a.m., today, July 3, at Cope Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in private land, Querino Canyon.

Francisco died June 28, 2009, in Flagstaff. He was born Jan. 21, 1942, in Fort Defiance, into the Edge Water People Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.

Francisco graduated from high school and vocational school in welding at Intermountain Indian School in Utah. His hobbies included reading his Bible.

Survivors include his wife, Julia B. Francisco of Querino Canyon; sons, Jonathan Francisco, Oliver Francisco, Alfred Billie, all of Querino Canyon; daughters, Angeline Francisco, Rita Jake, both of Pine Hill; mother, Etta Wilson of Klagetoh; brothers, Phillip Wilson of Wide Ruins, Lemuel Wilson of Farmington, Manuel Wilson of Fort Defiance; Douglas Wilson of Holbrook; sisters, Anita A. Francisco of Navajo, Rosita Wilson of Casamero Lake; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Francisco was preceded in death by his father, Anderson Francisco.

Pallbearers will be Oliver Francisco, Ferlando Tsosie, Myron Martinez, Jeremy Charley, Janell Stevens, Steven Francisco.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
