Mary Claw

CHINLE — Funeral services for Mary Ann Claw, 89, will be Wednesday, July 15, at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Chinle. The Rev. Blaine will officiate. Burial will be in home plot, Chinle. Visitation will be 9 a.m., July 15.

Claw died July 10, 2009, in Flagstaff. She was born Jan. 1, 1920, in Chinle, into the Coyote Pass People Clan for the Water Flows Together People Clan.

Claw enjoyed herding sheep, helping care for the family peach orchards and gardens were central theme for her while growing up in the canyons.

She took care of her sheep until the last months of her life. A direct descendent of prominent Tseyi’ leaders that negotiated the Treaty of 1868, she stressed education with her children and was always a great support and mainstay for her extended family. After she married, she lived in Fort Wingate and Poston, Ariz., and railroad towns in California, and Chinle Valley.

Survivors include her sons, Jerome Claw of Dilcon, Jim Claw of Chinle, Harry Claw of Chinle; daughter, Rena Allen of Chinle Valley; sister, Jean Begaye of Chinle; 30 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Claw was preceded in death by her husband, Jones Claw; daughter, Della Jumbo; parents, Notah and Elouise Draper; one grandson; sisters, Janet Descheeny, Louise Begay; brothers, George Guy, Charles Guy, Paul Guy Sr.
Pallbearers will be family members.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Chinle Catholic Hall, following services.

Bobby Guoladdle

CARNEGIE, Okla. — Funeral services for Bobby J. Guoladdle will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 15, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Anadarko, Okla. The Rev. Stanislaus Samenini will officiate. Burial will be in Carnegie Cemetery.

Guoladdle graduated from Riverside Indian School in Anadarko, Okla. in 1953. He continued his education from Haskell University in food service.

He worked in Lawton Indian Hospital cafeteria, BIA in Gallup, Deacon of the Catholic Church, Fort Wingate Indian School and volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America. He was a member of the New Mexico State Mounted Patrol, Knights of Columbus, Gallup Lions Club, Gallup Inter-Tribal ceremonies and powwow at Fort Wingate.

Survivors include his wife, Anne C. Guoladdle of Carnegui, Okla.; daughters, Neameh Ann Guoladdle, Bobbie Anne Burnside, Carrie Guoladdle, Juleen Davilla, Larue Guoladdle, Mary Jo Guoladdle; brothers, Morgan Guoladdle, Woody Taptto, Charles Fletcher; sister, Lola Grinko, Patsy Haury, Norma Tomab, Mary Jo Wordeski, Jerree Lynn Kise.; eight grandchildren.

Guoladdle was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Newton Guoladdle, Carrie Taptto Guoladdle, George and Neamah Kishketon; brothers, Spencer Guoladdle, John Guoladdle; sisters, Ruth Anderson, Gloria Labrada; one grandson.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Julia Jumbo

WOODSPRINGS — Funeral services for Julia Mae Jumbo, 53, will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 15, at the Catholic Church, St. Michaels. Burial will be in Community Cemetery, Ganado.

Jumbo died July 12, 2009, in Albuquerque. She was born March 31, 1956, in Navajo, into the Bitter Water People Clan for the Edge Water People Clan.

Jumbo graduated from Ganado High School in 1975. She was employed at Ganado High School as a counselors and a secretary from 1976-1987. She was a rancher, farmer and auto mechanic. Jumbo cared for her mother, and was a mother to all her neices and nephews.

Survivors include her mother, Rose Morgan Jumbo; brothers, Delbert Jumbo, Calvin Jumbo, Herbert Jumbo, Ronald Jumbo; sisters, Bertha Wilson, Laurinda Jumbo, Patricia Betonie, Pauline Garneney, Myrtle Cauy August.

Jumbo was preceded in death by her father, Paul Jumbo; brothers, Herman Jumbo, Larry Lantana, Lyman Jumbo; sisters, Loretta Jumbo, Ruthellen Begay.

Pallbearers will be J.P. Hollister, Gilbert Belinti, Delbert Jumbo, Calvin Jumbo.

Tse Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Cleora Moore

AMARILLO, Texas — Funeral services for Cleora Delaney Moore, 98, was 2 p.m., Friday, June 26, at Eleventh Street Baptist Church, Shamrock. Brother Joe Jernigan and Brother Jess Stafford officiated. Burial was in Shamrock Cemetery.
Moore died June 24, 2009. She was born Feb. 25, 1911, in Forrest, N.M.

Moore loved to use her hands and make homemade gifts for her family and friends. She made many quilts, loved to crochet as well as sew. She also shared her voice with her family by singing to them on a regular basis. Moore was a Charter Member of Eleventh Street Baptist Church. She will be missed by all.

Survivors include her daughters, Revena Emmertt of Shamrock, Shirley Hutchison of Gallup, Mayvon Smith of Amarillo; sons, Hubert Moore of Shamrock, Jerry Moore of Amarillo; sister, Lenora Pope of Estancia; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren.

Moore was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Moore; parents, John and Emma McBride; four brothers; five sisters; one great-granddaughter; one great-great-grandson.
