Deaths

Frank Yazzie

MANUELITO — Services for Frank R. Yazzie, 43, will be 10 a.m., Friday, July 14, at Cope Memorial Chapel. Kee Benally will officiate. Burial will be in Gallup City Cemetery.

Yazzie died June 29, 2009, in Gallup. He was born Jan. 26, 1966, in Los Angeles, Calif., into the Black Sheep People Clan for the Black Streak of the Forest People Clan.

Yazzie graduated from Gallup High School. He worked for California Superama Market for 15 years. He loved to play softball, hike, and horse back ride.

Survivors include his wife, Raquel A. Warner of Mariano Lake; son, Dominic Yazzie of Gallup; daughters, Rachelle Yazzie, Madelene Yazzie, Kiana Yazzie, all of Mariano Lake; brothers, Albert R. Yazzie of Tseyatoh, Wilbert Yazzie of Tohajiilee, Gilbert R. Yazzie of Manuelito, Hubert R. Yazzie of Zuni, Roland R. Yazzie of Albuquerque; sisters, Bertha Khweis of Gallup, Brenda Manygoat of Gallup.

Yazzie was preceded in death by his parents, Fred R. Yazzie Sr., Martha B. Yazzie; Foster R. Yazzie, Fred R. Yazzie Jr.

Pallbearers will be Darryl Talayumptewa, Edmund Ortiz, Raymond Chavez, Lambert Yazzie, Bryan Warner, Jonathan Warner.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Manuelito Chapter, following services.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
