GALLUP — Public Regulation Commissioner Carol Sloan waived her right to a preliminary hearing Monday, effectively an admission that prosecutors can show probable cause on felony level charges.

Sloan is charged with aggravated burglary, a second-degree felony, for allegedly forcing her way into Brenda Yazzie’s apartment July 14 — with the intent of committing a felony. She is charged with aggravated battery for allegedly beating Yazzie on the head with a rock once she got inside.
