SAWMILL — Funeral services for Ned Yazzie Begay Jr., 49, will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Fort Defiance. The Rev. Gilbert will officiate. Burial will be in the family plot, White Clay, Ariz.
Begay died Sept. 10, 2009, in Flagstaff. He was born Dec. 4, 1959, in Fort Defiance, into the Big Water People Clan for the Red Running Into the Water Tobacco People Clan.
Begay attended school in Fort Defiance, WRHS, NFPI, Navajo. He was vice president of ABNDN, active road man with NAC. He loved fishing, hunting, taking care of his livestock, helping people through NAC, making people happy with humor, being outdoors and with family.
Survivors include his wife, Annabelle Chee Begay; sons, Tyler Begay, Taylor Begay, Rudy Dickson, Carl Morgan; daughters, Francene Begay, Rolonda Morgan, Andrian Chee, Alvina D. Garcia; mother, Evelyn Begay; brothers, Kenneth Begay, Edward Begay, Alex Begay, Charles Begay; sister, Irma M. Segay; 11 grandchildren.
Begay was preceded in death by his father, Ned Begay Sr.; grandfathers, Kee Teller, Johnson Begay Sr.; grandmothers, Dorthy Telly, Sadie Begay.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Sawmill Chapter House, following services.

CROWNPOINT — Services are pending for Caroline P. Hannah, 91.
Hannah died Sept. 11, 2009, in Bloomfield. She was born May 10, 1918, in Standing Rock.
A family meeting will be 6 p.m., Monday, Sept. 14, at Crownpoint Chapter House.
