“Unusual,” was how one long-time resident described Wednesday’s fall snowstorm.

Just before 11:45 p.m. Tuesday, nearly 1 inch of snow had fallen in parts of Gallup, and it came down in heavy waves. Wednesday morning areas in the south side of town had 4 inches of wet snow while residents on the north side found 1-2 inches.
