GALLUP — Funeral services for Malcolm Roanhorse Sr., 38, will be 10 a.m., Nov. 6, at Rollie Mortuary. The Rev. Dennis Gardner will officiate. Burial will be in Naschitti Community Cemetery.
Roanhorse died Nov. 1, 2009, in Gallup. He was born July 15, 1971, in Fort Defiance, into the Charcoal Streak People Clan for the Towering House People Clan.
Roanhorse was employed with NECA Engineering Construction for 15 years. He was known as the “Rock”. His cheerfulness, friendship and advice made his family and friends always happy. He always enjoyed working.
Survivors include his wife, Alberta Roanhorse; son, Malcolm Roanhorse Jr.; daughters, Malesha Roanhorse, Malena Roanhorse; parents, James Benallie Sr., Emma Roanhorse.
Roanhorse was preceded in death by his son, Wyatt Roanhorse.
Pallbearers will be family members.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Naschitti Chapter House, following services.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
