Loyola Baca

ALBUQUERQUE — Rosary for Loyola Baca, 69, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 2, with Mass of Christian burial following at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.

Baca died Dec. 28, 2009, in Albuquerque. She was born July 27, 1940, in San Rafael.

Baca worked at various restaurants and opened her own at Chief Rancho. She loved to cook and prepare her special chile. She enjoyed meeting all her customers. After moving to Albuquerque in 1983, she opened up the De Anza Coffee Shop which she ran until 1990 when she established Loyola’s Family Restaurant.

Survivors include her sons, Casper, Lawrence, both of Grants, Joey of Milan; daughters, Sarah Cordova of Bosque Farms; sisters, Jane Montano, Rita Chavez, Eleanore Dominguez, Pauline Wieder; brother, Pat Dominguez Jr.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

Baca was preceded in death by her parents, Patrocinio and Eduvijen Dominguez.

Victorio Curley

TWIN BUTTES — Services for Victorio Kee Curley, 30, will be 9 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 2, at the Twin Buttes Church of the Nazarene, Twin Buttes. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park. The Rev. Wilkinson Sage will officiate.

Curley died Dec. 25, 2009, in Albuquerque. He was born Aug. 15, 1979, in Long Beach, Calif.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Curley of Twin Buttes; son, Victor Damian Curley of Twin Buttes; mother, Roselynn Comes Lee of Minneapolis, Min.; brothers, Alvin Jamison Lee, Richard Curley of Minneapolis, sisters, Thomasine Lee, Yolanda Curley, both of Minneapolis.

Curley was preceded in death by his father, Grayson Victor Curley; brother, William Chee Curley; grandparents, Tony and Margaret Chicharello.

Pallbearers will be Antonio R. Montano, Brandon Bia, Brent Curley, Keith Yazzie, Michael Yazzie, Jerry Bustamante.

Norman Jim

OKLAHOMA CITY — Funeral services for Norman Bobby Jim, 72, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 2, at the Naschitti Christian Reformed Church. The Rev. Thomas Sandoval will officiate. Burial will be in Naschitti Cemetery.

Jim was born Aug. 17, 1937, in Naschitti.

Jim graduated from Chilocco Indian School. He was a life resident of Oklahoma City and was employed with Wilson Packing company until he retired. He began work with Hobby Lobby and was part time as an usher for the old Oklahoma Red Hawk Baseball stadium. His hobbies included softball and baseball. He was very passionate man with great love for Jesus. Jim served in the Army National Guard. He was a church usher for churches in Oklahoma City for many years.

Survivors include his daughters, Marjorie Grimes of Wichita, Kan., Peggy J. Warden of Oklahoma City, Linda J. Burdine of Oklahoma City; brother, Larry Jim Sr. of Naschitti; sisters, Lillie Jim of Fort Defiance, Sista Lucy Cly of Ponca City, Okla.Henrietta Sandoval of Fort Defiance, Christine Dale of Crownpoint, Della J. Alfred of Phoenix; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne Jim, Linda Jim; brother, Phillip Jim.

Pallbearers will be Cecil John, James John, Phillip Cly, Marcus Dale, Arthur Dale Jr., Albert Dale.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Naschitti Chapter, following services.

David Mendoza

GALLUP — Services are pending for David G. Mendoza, 57.

Mendoza died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, in Gallup. He was born Feb. 12, 1952, in Gallup.

Frank Muñoz

ALBUQUERQUE — Services for Frank Muñoz, 78, will be 9 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 2, at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Deacon Harry Beare will officiate. Visitation will be 8:30-9 a.m., Jan. 2, at the Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Muñoz died Dec. 27, 2009.

Muñoz was a member of the Catholic Church and was a veteran of the United States Army and Marines and a number 1 Raider fan. Muñoz loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren who knew him as Popeye.

Survivors include his wife, Priscilla E. Muñoz; children, David Muñoz, Maryann Perez, Gene Muñoz; brother, Angelo Muñoz; sister, Cecilia Rodriguez; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Muñoz was preceded in death by his parents, Urbano and Louisa Muñoz; brothers, Chewy Muñoz, Kenny Muñoz.

Julio Sisneros

GRANTS — Rosary and funeral Mass for Julio Sisneros, 75, will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, Jan. 4, at San Jose Catholic Church, Anton Chico, N.M. Burial will bein Anton Chico Cemetery. The Rev. Antonio Mondragon will be the celebrant.

Sisneros died Dec. 27, 2009, in Grants. He was born June 7, 1934, in Pintada.

Sisneros was retired from the New Mexico Highway Department as an engineer. He graduated from Santa Rosa High School in 1955 and married Julia Garcia.

Survivors include his children, Evaristo Sisneros of Grants, Randy Sisneros of Albuquerque, Elizabeth “Betty” Chavez of Rio Rancho, Charolotte Sisneros of Rio Rancho, Rosie Sisneros of Grants, Larry Sisneros of Gallup, Loretta Sisneros of Rio Rancho, Merlinda Lopez of Los Lunas, Eugene Garcia of Los Lunas, Sandra Garcia of Albuquerque, Robert Garcia of San Jon, Mackie Garcia of Santa Fosa; brother, Amadcao Sisneros of El Paso; sister, Florenda Ulibarri of Clovis; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.

Sisneros was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Garcia Sisneros; daughter, Ramona Sisneros-Sevilla; brothers, George Sisneros, Edwardo Sisneros, Reyes Sisneros; sister, Sylia Baca; sons, Paul Garcia, Jose Garcia.

Norman Wilson Sr.

THORNTON, Colo. — Memorial services for Norman Roger Wilson Sr., 74, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 2, at Denver Indian Christian Center, Denver, Colo. The Rev. Sonny White will officiate.

Wilson was born Jan. 7, 1935, in Tsélani, into the Mexican People Clan for the Towering House People Clan.

Wilson retired after 35 years of service from Colorado University Hospital as a custodian. He went to school in Riverside, Calif. His hobbies included cheering on the Denver Broncos, watching WWF wrestling and Walker Texas Ranger. He loved and enjoyed being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Rose Wilson; children, Norman Wilson Jr., Charlene Montoya, Aurelia Wilson, Steven Andrew Wilson, all of Thornton, Colo.; sisters, Clara Cleveland of Tuba City, Mary Wilson of Fort Defiance, Alice W. Milford of Window Rock, Walter Wilson of Fort Defiance, David Wilson of Fort Defiance; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, Steven and Gertrude Wilson; brother, Willie Wilson; sister, Louise W. Catron; son, Daniel Wilson.

Pallbearers will be Norman Wilson Jr., Andrew Wilson, Matthew K. Milford, Robert Smith, Steven Smith, Johnathan Rodriguez, Steven Driver.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Denver Indian Christian Church, following services.
