WINDOW ROCK — It was supposed to be a quick trip back to his homeland. Instead, Code Talker photographer and Navajo Nation resident Kenji Kawano found himself nearly trapped in Tokyo on March 11, far from the place he now calls home, when a 9 magnitude earthquake hit the northern city of Sendai, Japan.
