Clifton Cowboy Jr.
RED ROCK — Funeral services for Clifton Zachariah Cowboy Jr., 2 months, will be 10 a.m., June 21, at Cope Memorial Chapel. Sister Terri Goodin will officiate. Burial will be in Gallup City Cemetery.
Cowboy died June 14, 2011, in St. Michaels. He was born April 3, 2011, in Gallup, into the Towering House People Clan for the One Who Walks Around People Clan.
Cowboy liked to be held and he always smiled.
Survivors include his parents, Clifton Cowboy Sr., Chantel Largo, both of Red Rock; sisters, Samariah S. Cowboy, Marianna C. Cowboy, both of Red Rock; grandparents, Carol Largo of Red Rock, Fannie Cowboy of Tse Bonito, Cliford Cornfield of Cornfields; great-grandmother, Mary R. Brown of Red Rock.
Cowboy was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Harold F. Largo, Henry Brown, Emerson Brown Sr., Frank Cowboy, Louise Thomas, George Cornfield.
Pallbearers will be Shane Largo, Lane Largo.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Red Rock Chapter House, following services.

Mary Deswood
ROUND ROCK — Funeral services for Mary Rose Deswood, 74, will be Tuesday, June 21, at St. Isabel Catholic Church, Lukachukai. The Rev. Cormac will officiate. Burial will be in Seibeto, Round Rock.
Deswood was born Jan. 1, 1937, in Round Rock, into the Coyote Pass People Clan for the Edge Water People Clan.
Deswood was a homemaker, weaver and sheep herder. She attended Intermountain Indian School. She was a silversmith and loved to watch TV, especially Wheel of Fortune. Deswood loved to give hugs and kisses to everyone
Survivors include her sons, Jerry Deswood, Steve Trujillo, Mike Deswood, all of Round Rock, Luther Deswood of Mexican Hat, Utah; daughters, Rose Trujillo, Moella Deswood, both of Round Rock; brothers, Woodrow Wagner, Edward Wagner, both of Many Farms, Charley Wagner, Thomas Wagner, Joe Wagner, all of Round Rock; sisters, Agnes Harvey, Alice Peshtony, both of Round Rock, Louise Littleben of Rock Point, Sadie Yazzie of Ganado; 21 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
Deswood was preceded in death by her husband, Peter H. Deswood; parents, Charley Wagner, Helen Yazzie Wagner; daughter, Marilyn Teller; one grandchild.
Pallbearers will be family members.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the late Mary Deswood’s residence, 7 p.m., nightly.
Silver Creek Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Woody died Thursday, June 16, 2011, in Newcomb. She was born Oct. 28, 1985, in Gallup.
