Bernard ‘Benny’ Gonzales

GALLUP — Funeral services for Bernard “Benny” Gonzales, 51, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, at St. Francis Parrish. The Rev. Joseph will officiate. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park. A rosary will be recited at St. Francis Parrish.

Gonzales died Sept. 19, 2011, in Austin, Texas. He was born June 7, 1960, in Gallup.

Gonzales completed high school and attended a trade school in California. He enjoyed working on cars, motorcycles and installing ceramic tile.
Survivors include his sons Benjamin “Benji” Gonzales and David Martinez; daughters Ariel Gonzales, Brittney Gonzales and Angela Tellez; parents Victoria “Vita” Gonzales and Demetrio Gonzales; brothers Joseph Gonzales and Billy Gonzales and sisters Corrine Gonzales and Jeanette Chavez.

He was preceded in death by his brother Theodore “Teddy” Gonzales and grandparents Jose and Pauline Lucero and Henry and Seferina Gonzales.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Gonzales Jr., Raul Tellez, David Martinez, Roy Riley, David Franco and David Vasquez.
The family wil receive relatives and friends at 318 E. Jefferson after services.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Francis Building Fund.
