Frank Begay

THOREAU — Funeral services for Frank Begay, 89, will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, at the Trinity Navajo Church in Thoreau. The Rev. Bobby George will officiate. Burial will be in Smith Lake Community Cemetery.

Begay died Oct. 17, 2011, in Thoreau. He was bon Sept. 17, 1922, in Casamero Lake into the Zia People Clan for the Black Streaked Forest People Clan.

Begay was a rancher and was retired from the railroad. He trained and worked with horses and enjoyed being with family and loved being with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Evelyn Begay of Thoreau; son Leonard Begay of Glendale; daughters Andrea Begay of Thoreau, Louise Begay of Crownpoint, Helen Morgan of Red Rock and Ann Jean Begay of Los Lunas; sister Grace Slim of Grants; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; sister Alice Miller; sons Irvin Begay and Frankie Begay; daughters Virgina Bosin and Ella Mae Begay and grandson Leandro Alonzo.
Pallbearers will be family members.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Smith Lake Chapter House.

Cope Memorial is in charge of arrangements.

Aurelia McIntyre

GALLUP — Memorial services for Aurelia Wanetta McIntyre, 39, will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, at the First Baptist Church. The Rev. Jay McCollum will officiate. Cremation and burial will be in Oklahoma at a later date.

McIntyre died Oct. 12, 2011, in Albuquerque. She was born Dec. 5, 1971, in Gallup.

McIntyre attended Jefferson Elementary, JFK Middle School and Gallup High School. She worked at Walmart for a short time and was active in sports in school and Gallup’s Summer City League activities. McIntyre was in the high school band as a flag girl and was active in Baptist Church activities.

Survivors include her daughters Ambree Anna McIntyre Ramirez and Anica Starla Ramirez; parents Van and Kay McIntyre; sister Vandy Kay Lujan; grandparents Henry and Wanetta Glenn and Preston and Aurelia Kanubee McIntyre and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother Victor McIntyre.

Pallbearers will be Charles McIntyre, Larry Jack Glenn, Patrick Domebo, Greg Lujan and Kenny West.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the First Baptist Church following the services.
