Sylvia Bonaguidi


GALLUP — Services are pending for Sylvia Helen Bonaguidi, 91.

Bonaguidi died May 3, 2011, in Grants. She was born Nov. 15, 1919, in Flora Vista, Colo.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Stanley Blaricom

GRANTS — Memorial services for Stanley John Van Blaricom 88, will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 4, at First United Methodist Church, Grants. Private disposition will be held by the family.

Blaricom died April 28, 2011, in Grants. He was born on April 10, 1923, in Illinois.

Blaricom was a Veteran of the US Navy.

Survivors include his children Terry Van Blaricom of Sherman Oaks, Calif., Arthur Van Blaricom of Tijeras, Rosemarie Anderson of Tijeras; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

Blaricom was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Margaret Van Blaricom.

Christian Franklin

TWIN LAKES — Funeral services for Christian Laine Franklin, 18, will be 10 a.m., May 5, at Rehoboth Christian Reform Church, Rehoboth. The Rev. Roger Scarbro and Milton Shirelson will officiate. Burial will be in Rehoboth.

Franklin died May 1, 2011, in Gallup. He was born June 16, 1992, in Gallup, into the Near To Water People Clan for the Mexican People Clan.

Franklin was a junior at Tohatchi High School.
Survivors include his parents, Wayne Franklin, Veronica Murphy; brothers, Calvin Benallie, Corey Franklin, Kelly Franklin, Caitlin Nez.

Franklin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marietta and James Franklin.

Pallbearers will be Calvin Benallie, Corey Franklin, Mark Franklin Jr., Tyler Hoskie, Ryan Maloney, Sheldon Kenneth.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Rehobeth Fellowship Hall, at 2 p.m., following services.

Jimmy Jake

PINE HILL — Services are pending for Jimmy K. Jake, 79.

Jake died Sunday, May 1, 2011, in Pine HIll. He was born Aug. 18, 1931, in Ramah.

Family will receive relatives and friends at Ramah Chapter House, 5:30 p.m., today, May 4.

Florence James

SANDERS — Services are pending for Florence M. James.

James died Monday, May 2, 2011, in Sanders. She was born Nov. 16, 1923, in Cornfields, into the Black Sheep People Clan for the Tangle People Clan.

Henry Jones

TWIN LAKES — Funeral services for Henry Jones, 64, will be 10 a.m., May 5, at Rollie Mortuary, Gallup. Brother Mark Lillie will officiate. Burial will be in Gallup City Cemetery, Gallup.

Jones died April 29, 2011, in Gallup. He was born Aug. 22, 1946, in Grants, into the Red Running Into the Water People Clan for the Water’s Edge People Clan.

Jones attended Gallup High School up to the 11th grade. He continued his education at Western UNM to get his GED. He worked for the Twin Lakes Chapter and Elite Laundry. His hobbies included making moccasins, silversmithing, bead work and loved to dance at country western dances.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Jones; daughters, Jeanette Lee, Jennifer Jones, Jeanita Jones, Janey Jones; brothers, Thompson Jones, Edison Jones; sister, Geneveive Platero; grandparents, John and Rena Brown, Bob Lee, Na-glee-ha-ba Lee; 10 grandchildren.

Jones was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Louise Jones; brothers, Franklin Jones, Eddie Jones Sr.

Pallbearers will be Adrian Lee, Stetson Peterson, Kasey Atene, Jeffrey Webster, Justin Jones, Isiah Jones.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Twin Lakes Chapter, following services.

Tom Skeet

VANDERWAGEN — Funeral services for Tom Lee Skeet, 87, will be 10 a.m., May 7, at Rollie Mortuary. Herbert Francisco will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Gallup


Skeet died April 26, 2011, in Phoenix. He was born July 1, 1923, in Bread Springs, into the Bitter Water People Clan for the Red Streak Running Into Water People Clan.

Skeet was a retired railroad worker. He was a Christian and enjoyed going to revivals and rancher.

Survivors include his daughter, Genevieve Whitman of Vanderwagen; brother, John Willie of Bread Springs; sisters, Mary Ann White, Annie White, both of Bread Springs.

Skeet was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Skeet; son, Leroy Livingston; mother, Betty Willard.

Pallbearers will be Leroy Livingston Jr., Otis Livingston, Dewaye Secatero, Norman Begay, Darrin Bellson.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Breadsprings Chapter House, following services.
