GALLUP — Services are pending for Anna Marie Forkner, 85.
Forkner died Sunday, June 26, 2011, in Gallup. She was born April 2, 1926, in Gallup.

WINDOW ROCK — Funeral services for Margaret M. Morgan, 89, will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 29, at Rehoboth Christian Reformed Church, Rehoboth. Private disposition will be in Greeley/Brodie family plot, Tuba City, June 30.
Morgan died May 22, 2011, in Window Rock. She was born June 13, 1921, in Old Leupp, Ariz.
Morgan and her late husband lived in Shiprock, Cortez and Farmington, settling in Window Rock in 1940. In 1942, she began work as the BIA chief telephone operator for the reservation in Window Rock. Before retiring, she traveled to complete an inventory of all telephones and radio telephones on the Navajo reservation, which took 3 years. Morgan retired from the BIA in 1970, after 29 years of service. After retirement, she worked 7 years with the Navajo tribal judicial dept., in record management. From 1978, she managed the “Shoe Corral Store”, in Tse Bonito until it closed in 1994, and the Fedmart store in the cash vault. She enjoyed traveling and spending family gatherings in San Diego, Albuquerque and Window Rock.
Survivors include her daughters, Katherin Ritz, Brenda Crooks, both of San Diego, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
Morgan was preceded in death by her parents, George and Katie House Greeley; son, Wilbur E. Morgan Jr.; brother, Robert George Greeley; sisters, Ora Brodie, Evelyn Luna; step-mother, Stella Greeley.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Best Western Inn, 3009 W. Hwy. 66, Gallup, following services.
