Wilson Boyd


GREASEWOOD SPRINGS — Graveside services for Wilson Boyd, 70, will be 10 a.m. July 8, at Greasewood Springs Community Cemetery.

Boyd died July 5, 2011, in Show Low. He was born Sept. 24, 1940, in Greasewood, into the Redhouse People Clan for the Coyote Pass People Clan.

Boyd attended Greasewood Day School and Phoenix Indian School. He was employed as a truck driver for the Navajo tribe and a carpenter for the water and sanitation dept. for the Navajo tribe.
Survivors include his daughter, Jacqueline (Jackie) Boyd; brothers, Mathew G. Boyd, Thomas Boyd; sisters, Mary A. Boyd, Cynthia B. Begay; three grandchildren.

Boyd was preceded in death by Keith J. Boyd, John W. Boyd Sr.; brother, Fred J. Boyd; sister, Bessie Boyd; parents, Jack Boyd, Alice Boyd.
Pallbearers will be Nathaniel Boyd, Daniel Boyd, Darryl Boyd, Garrison Begay, Theodore Curley, Alvin Begaye.

The family will meet at 6 p.m., July 6-7, at Greasewood Springs Chapter House.

Eric Iverson

ALBUQUERQUE — Funeral Mass for Eric A. Iverson, 60, will be 10 a.m., Friday, July 8, at the St. Charles Borromeo, Albuquerque. The Rev. Jerome D. Muller will officiate. A rosary will be recited 7 p.m., tonight, July 7.

Iverson died July 4, 2011, in Albuquerque. He was born May 26, 1951, in Albuquerque.

Iverson graduated from Gallup High School in 1969. Iverson and his wife were formers owners of Santa Fe Station. They moved to Albuquerque in 1988. Iverson spent his last years designing and making jewelry. He loved camping and spending time in Chama.

Survivors include his wife, Flora Iverson of Albuquerque; step-daughters, Stephanie Vargas of Albuquerque, Terri Glass of Texas; brother, Gary Iverson of Albuquerque.

Iverson was preceded in death by his parents, Doc and Nellie Iverson.

Edison Plummer

NASCHITTI — Funeral services for Edison Plummer, 66, will be 10 a.m., Friday, July 8, at United Pentecostal Church. Jerry Eastridge will officiate. Burial will be in Tohatchi Community Cemetery.

Plummer died July 2, 2011, in Fort Wingate. He was born Aug. 14, 1944, in Wingate, into the Meadow People Clan for the Mexican People Clan.

Plummer attended Tohatchi Boarding School and Mexican Springs to the 6th grade. He was employed with Navajo Forest Product Industry (NFPI) for 27 years.

Survivors include his wife, Gladys Plummer of Naschitti; sons, Fritzgerald Plummer, John E. Plummer, both of Naschitti; daughter, Mary H. Muskett of Naschitti; mother, Precilla Plummer of Tohatchi; sisters, Yvonne Begay, Shirley Brown, Lenora Tahe, all of Tohatchi; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bradwell Chato, Levi Chato, Eugene Vincent Henry, Kevin Muskett, Fritzgerald Plummer, Waylon Plummer.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Tohatchi Chapter, following services.

Lillie Tom

TSEYAHTOH — Funeral services for Lillie Tom, 81, will be 10 a.m., Friday, July 8, at Rollie Mortuary Palm Chapel. The Rev. Ted Ferris will officiate. Burial will be in Gallup City Cemetery.

Tom died July 2, 2011, in Santa Fe. She was born July 1, 1930, in Mentmore, into the Black Streak People Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.
Tom was a homemaker. She loved listening to Navajo hour on KGAK.

Survivors include her brother, Eddie Tom of Mentmore; sister, Faye Tom Lee of Tseyatoh.
Pallbearers will be Alonzo Dennison, Lorenzo Dennison, Almonzo Dennison, Orlando Dennison, Lamonzo Dennison, Sylvester Dennison.

Ella Nez

MENTMORE — Funeral services for Ella Mae Nez, 22, will be 11 a.m., Friday, July 8, at Cope Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Dennis Gardner will officiate. Burial will be in Gallup City Cemetery.
Nez died July 2, 2011, in Albuquerque. She was born May 12, 1989, in Gallup, into the Bitter Water People Clan for the Mud People Clan.
Nez attended Gallup High School. She helped many people with traditional ceremonies with her mother. She loved to travel with her family and companion. She liked to play games and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her mother, Evelyn Naswood of Mentmore; brother, Bobby Nez of Mentmore; sisters, Eleanor Nez, Charlene Nez, both of Mentmore; grandmother, Haskie Naswood of Twin Buttes.

Nez was preceded in death by her father, Phillip Nez; grandmother, Juanita Naswood.
Pallbearers will be family members.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Evelyn Naswood residence, 437 D. Twin Buttes, Mentmore, following services.

Phillip Martinez

WHITE RIVER — Services are pending for Phillip J. Martinez, 90.

Martinez died Thursday, June 30, 2011, in Show Low. He was born Dec. 12, 1920, in Ramah.
