Charles Gardom

LAS CRUCES — Memorial services for Charles A. Gardom, 80, will be 3 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2011, at the Fence Lake Community Church, Fence Lake, N.M.

Gardom died Nov. 15, 2011, in Las Cruces. He was born March 25, 1930, in Shawnee, Okla.
Gardom graduated from Fence Lake High School. He served in the Army during the Korean War and received a Bronze Star. He worked for El Paso Natural Gas for 30 years, retired at the Wingate Plant outside Gallup in 1984. He was a member of the Gallup’s Elk Club and V.F.W.

Survivors include his step-son Glynn Brandon of Prescott Valley, Ariz; brothers, Wayne (Joe) Gardom, Paul Gardom, both of Las Cruces; sisters, Zulla Jolly, Hester Brunt both of Las Cruces; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Gardom was preceded in death by his wife Kristine Gardom; brother, James Gardom.

Keith Roland Largo

SMITH LAKE — Funeral services for Keith R. Largo, 70, will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2011, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Crownpoint. Bishop James Howell will officiate. Burial will be in Smith Lake Cemetery.

Largo died July 13, 2011, in Albuquerque. He was born Jan 17, 1941, in Borrego Pass, N.M. into the Bitterwater People Clan for the Hairy One’s/Weavers People Clan.

Largo attended school in Chilacco, Okla. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator with Eastern Agency BIA Roads Department and Gallup McKinley County roads.

Survivors include his mother Ellen Sloan of Crownpoint; brother, Lincoln Largo of Crownpoint; sister, Janet Morgan of Smith Lake; grandparents, Kehasbah Begay, Clizzie Begay.

Largo was preceded in death by his father Frank Largo.

Pallbearers will be Edison Sloan, Jayson Tom, James Tom, Stanford Saunders, Chris Tsosie, Harrison Jones Jr.

A family meeting for relatives and friends was 4 p.m., Friday, July 15 at Smith Lake Chapter.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
