Sammie Charlie

WHITEROCK — Services for Sammie Steven Charlie, 78, were at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, in White Rock. Alvin Dorsey officiated. Burial was in the family cemetery.

Charlie died Sept. 29, 2011, in Albuquerque. He was born April 17, 1933, in White Rock into the Folded Arms People Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.

Charlie was employed with the Environmental Health Services at Crownpoint IHS and served in the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Survivors include his sons Tico Charlee Sr., Byron Dean Charlee; daughters LuVenia Dickerson, Lucereta Dorsey, Serena S. Charlee; parents Skine Charles and Mary Charlie; brothers Danny Charlie and Jake Charlie; sister Inez Escitty; 28 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Annie Charlie; stepson Edward Lee; brother Freddie Charlie and sister Elsie Jim.

Pallbearers were Christopher Billie Sr., Alan S. Charlee, Darrell Charlee, Stewart Billie, Watson Billie Jr. and Shawn Charlee.

Rollie Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.

Jairus Francisco

COUSINS — Funeral services for Jairus ‘Yaazh’ Harley Francisco, 27, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at the Broken Arrow Bible Ranch. The Rev. Randy Bourn will officiate. Burial will be at the 658 Cousins Road family plot.

Francisco died Sept. 30, 2011, in Cousins. He was born June 27, 1984, in Zuni into the Waters Edge People Clan born for the Red Bottom People Clan.

Francisco was home schooled and received his New Mexico high school diploma. He was employed with R and P Electric and Quality Inn as a maintenence worker. Francisco was also employed with Cousins Catering.

Survivors include his parents Jimmy and Nevi Francisco, of Jones Ranch; brothers Jethro V. Chee, of Dallas, Jeremy H. Francisco and Jonathan H. Francisco, both of Gallup; sisters Tonia Martin, Janelle H. Francisco, Hannah Brown and Harley Martin, all of Gallup; and grandparents James and Elouise Francisco.

Pallbearers will be Sam Norton, James Norton, Titus Nelson, Brian Natch, Tyril James and Wesley Brown.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Gallup Christian Church, 501 S. Cliff.

Bernard Howard

CROWNPOINT — Memorial services for Bernard Martin Howard, 50, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at the St. Paul Catholic Church. Private disposition will be in Crownpoint.

Howard died Sept. 29, 2011, in Albuquerque. He was born Dec. 23, 1960, in Crownpoint.

Survivors include his mother Kathryn K. Howard, of Paguate; brother L. Peter Howard, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and sisters Paula M. Howard, of Albuquerque, Barbara L. Morgan, of Crownpoint, and Victoria Howard, of Paguate. He is preceded in death by his father Frank Howard, grandparents Lucy and John Kayate and Tom and Elizabeth and brothers Joseph and David Howard.

The family will receive relatives and friends at St. Paul Parrish Hall following the services.

Henry ‘Timmy’ Lorenzo

DUGGER, Ind. — Memorial services for Henry Timothy “Timmy” Lorenzo, 53, were in Dugger, Ind., at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, at the Anderson-Poindexter Chapel.

Lorenzo enjoyed the blue Montana skies, his horses and his open ranch that he called home.

He had a big crooked smile and an big heart. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle and husband. Henry grew up in Thoreau and went on to live his adult life in Indiana. He worked as a coal miner and coal mining consultant for Pittman Mine Service. He had a passion for rodeo and horses, spent the early part of his life riding broncs and then went on to become a stock contractor. He bred bucking horses on his ranch, HT Rodeo Ranch, in Dugger.
Lorenzo died Sept. 20, 2011, in Indianapolis, Ind.

e was born Jan. 10, 1958, in Wallace, Idaho.
Survivors include his six children, Sara Lorenzo, of Prewitt, Laura Lorenzo, of Seattle, Wash., Montana Lorenzo, of Tucson, Ariz., and Tyrell Lorenzo, or Albuquerque, Matt and Andy; four siblings, Doris Smith, Nick Lorenzo, Louie Lorenzo and Blanche Critchfield, all of Indiana; his former wife Rhonda Moore, of Prewitt, and his current wife Jewel Lorenzo, of Indiana; and one grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Virginia Lorenzo; grandparents Arturro and Doris Murrieta and Henry Jasper Cook; brother Steven Lorenzo.

Pfc. Anthony R. Secatero

TOHAJILEE — Services for Pfc. Anthony R. Secatero, 24, will be announced at a later date.
Secatero died Oct. 3, 2011, in Fort Hood, Texas. He was born Dec. 9, 1987, in Tohajilee.

A meeting will be at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7 at DC Center in Tohajilee.

Clara C. Washee

CROWNPOINT — Services for Clara C Washee, 76, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meeting house in Crownpoint. Branch President James Howell will officiate. Burial will be in Crownpoint Community Cemetery.

Washee died Oct. 3, 2011, in Farmington. She was born July 31, 1935, in Crownpoint into the Water Flows Together People Clan born for the Tangle People Clan.

Washee was a homemaker and well-known crafter.

Survivors include her daughters Corline Gorman and Raquel Billy; brother Frances Nez; sisters Mae Roper and Irene Sky; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Tony N. Washee, children Charles Casuse, Curtis Casuse, Connie Casuse, Paradise Washee; grandchild Tyrone Morgan; parents Hoskie Wood and Nellie Dean Grey Wood; brothers Johnny Lee Wood, Leonard Wood, Sam Wood, Harry Wood, Harvey Wood and Rimsey Wood; and sisters Emma Smith, Betty Craig, Della Wood and Bessie Nez.

Pallbearers will be Robin Wood, Steven Roper, Tim Murphy, Travis Washee, Phil Lynn Jr. and Le,uel Wood.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Crownpoint Chapter.
