"Tuchie" Baca

GALLUP — Funeral services for "Tuchie" Manuel Baca, 59, will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, at St. Francis Church. Father Eduardo "Lalo" Espinsoa Chacon wll officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. tonight at Rollie Mortuary.

Baca died April 5, in Gallup. He wa born July 5, 1948 in Bernalillo.

Baca earned his G.E.D. as an adult.

Survivors include his son, Manuel T. Baca of Gallup; daughters, Mylinda Germain Baca, Candelaria Baca, and Ramona Chustz, all of Albuquerque; brother, Raymond Bobby Baca of Los Lunas; sisters, Terry Lujan, Mary Maldonado, and Yolanda Brieno, all of Gallup; 12 grandchildren.

Baca was preceded in death by his parents, Estrella G. and Martiniano S. Baca; and brother, Martin Baca Jr.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Joe Chavez, Dominic Chavez, Lawrence Maldonado, Randy Lujan, Manuel Brieno Jr. and Gerard Campos.

The family will receive relatives and friends at KC Hall following the burial.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Robert Natonabah Sr.

FT. DEFIANCE, Ariz. — Funeral Services for Robert Natonabah Sr., 65, were at 10 a.m. today, April 9, at the Chruch of the Good Shepherd Mission in Ft. Defiance. Rt. Rev. Mark MacDonald will officiate. Burial will follow on family land in Coal Mine, N.M.

Natonabah died April 5 in Albuquerque. He was born Nov. 14, 1939 in Gallup into the Red Running Into the Water People Clan for the Tangle People Clan.

Natonabah attended Window Rock High School. He was a member of the Native Ministry Committee for the Diocese of Arizona and Episcopal Church of Navajoland. He was a former Tribal Councilman from Ft. Defiance (1972-1983), and was a roadman for the Native American Church.

Survivors include sons, Albert Natonabah and Robert Natonabah Jr., both of Santa Fe, Christopher Natonabah of Bayfield, Colo.; daughter, Christine Natonabah of Coal Mine; sisters, Ella Jones and Helen McCabe, both of Santa Fe, Ruth Tso of Ft. Defiance and Dorothy Saucedo of Tempe; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.

Natonabah was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Nellie; brother, Paul; sisters, Mary Alice, Nancy and Virginia; grandparents Mike and Amelia Francisco.

Pallbearers will be Albert Natonabah, Christopher Natonabah, Gary McCabe, Brendan Jones, Sam Natonabah, and Robert Natonabah Jr.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Church of God Shepherd Mission Parish Hall in Ft. Defiance.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Emma Begay

PREWITT — Funeral services for Emma B. Begay, 119, will be announced at a later date.

Begay died April 6, in Prewitt. She was born Nov. 3, 1887 in Mariano Lake.

Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
