Third Street paving: Vince Lewis of the Gallup Street Dept., directs a dump truck driver while Nelson Tso drives and controls the Bomag Street Machine by Martin on Thursday afternoon on the north side of Third Street. The Bomag is cutting down two inches into the asphalt so that Third Street can be repaved. Currently the Gallup City Street Dept. has been leasing the Bomag for the past week. One of the workers on site praised the machine because it cuts the time for repaving a street in half lessening the time that drivers are inconvenienced. [Photo by Matt Hinshaw/Independent]
