Donald Tanner Sr.
GALLUP Funeral services for Donald Carl
Tanner, 75, were at 11 a.m. today, April 23, at the Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 601 Susan Ave., Gallup. A viewing
took place prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. today.
Tanner died Thursday, April 19, in Gallup. He was born Jan. 22,
1932 in Fruitland, N.M.
Tanner spent much of youth on the Navajo Reservation, where his
father ran several trading posts. He graduated from Durango High
School. He spent most of his adult years in Gallup, operating
Indian trading businesses in Gallup, Santa Fe, Farmington and
Scottsdale. Tanner was a life-long member of the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as the first Stake President
of the Gallup Stake.
Tanner is survived by his wife, Louise Compton Tanner; sons, Don
Tanner Jr., Mitch Tanner and Sterling Tanner; daughter, Rachel
Boyle; sister, Dorothy Campbell; brothers, J.B. Tanner, Joe Tanner
and Ellis Tanner.
Tanner was preceded in death by his parents, Ruel Lehi and Stella
McGee Tanner; son, Sheldon Tanner; brothers, Robert Tanner, Jerry
Tanner and Rick Tanner.
Rosetta Beyale-Delgai
SUNRISE, ARIZ. Funeral services for Rosetta
Ellen Beyale-Delgai, 66, were at 11 a.m. today, April 23, at the
Presbyterian Church in Ganado. Reverend Roger Davis will officiate.
Burial will follow at the Community Cemetery in Ganado.
A viewing will be one hour prior to services.
Beyale-Delgai died April 19, in Tempe, Ariz. She was born Feburary
12, 1941, in Sunrise into the Towering House Clan for the Red
House Clan.
Beyale-Delgai attended Intermountain Indian School in Brigham,
Utah. She worked for Sage Memorial Hospital in Ganado for 35 years.
Beyale-Delgai enjoyed pariticipating in song and dances, cooking,
and was an inspiritional mother and grandmother who provided nurturing
love.
Survivors include her sons, Rowdy Beyale, Ty Beyale, Ben Beyale,
John Beyale, and Thornton Beyale; daughter, Vikki Beyale-Tomas;
brothers, Wallace Delgai, Eugene Delgai, and John Degai Jr.; sisters,
Ella Delgai, Joan Delgai, and Matilda Delgai; 12 grandchildren.
Beyale-Delgai was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Chico
Beyale; parents John Delgai, Sr. and Maude Delagi-Nez.
Pallbearers will be family members.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cornfields
Chapter House following services.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Alice Bond-Lewis
RAMAH Funeral services for Alice Maxine
Bond-Lewis, 79, wll be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, at Ramah.
Bishop Alan Lewis will officiate. Burial will be in Ramah.
Bond-Lewis died April 19, in Albuquerque. She was born September
10, 1927, in Ramah.
Bond-Lewis attended school in Ramah. She worked at the El Morro
National Monument.
Survivors include her husband, Marvin Lewis; sons, Dave Bond of
Idaho, Arnie Bond of Bloomfield, N.M., Jeff Bond and Kevin Bond,
both of Ramah; sister, Mary Margaret Bond of Lehi, Ut.; 17 grandchildren;
24 great grandchildren.
Bond-Lewis was preceded in death by her husband, Vance Bond; parents,
David Chitwood and Vera Chitwood; grandson, Trevor Bond.
Pallbearers will be Bryce Bond, Jason Bond, Cory Bond, Cody Bond,
Trent Bond, Troy Bond, Cliff Davis, Reese Bond and Tyson Bond.
The family will receive realatives and friends at the Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Ramah following services.
Rollie Morturary is in charge of arrangements.
Kee Thompson
CHURCH ROCK Funeral services for Kee
Thompson, 81, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, at Rollie
Palm Chapel. Burial will follow at the Gallup City Cemetery.
Thompson died April 19, in Gallup. He was born September 18, 1925,
in Mariano Lake into the Towering House Clan for the Black Streak
of Forest Clan.
Thompson was a WWII veteran in the U.S. Army. He worked for the
railroad, Ft. Wingate Ordnance and as a heavy equipment operator.
Thompson was a well-known Native American Church Roadman throughout
the Four Corners area. He enjoyed traveling, watching western
movies, and spending time with family and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn H. Thompson of Church Rock;
sons, Ernest Thompson and Tom Thompson, both of Church Rock, Anderson
Thompson of Iyanbito; daughters, Sara Smith of China Springs,
Tina Morgan and Karen Situ, both of Church Rock; seven grandchildren;
Thompson was preceded in death by his son, Erwin Thompson; parents,
Neal Thompson and Beulah Etsitty.
Pallbearers will be Cpl. Efrem A. Thompson, Sgt. Brian Benally,
SSC-E-7 Orlando Kanawite, SSC-E-7 Fernando Kanawite, Gaberial
Kanawite and Michael Thompson.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Miluck Gaddy
PREWITT Services for Miluck Rose Gaddy,
19, will be announced at a later date.
Gaddy died April 19, in Coolidge. She was born August 7, 1987,
in Crownpoint.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
