Alan Zecca

PHOENIX — Memorial service for Alan Gregory Zecca, 42, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at Sacred Heart Cathedral. Very Rev. Lawrence J. O'Keefe will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today, April 28, at Sacred Heart Cathedral.

Zecca died April 24, in Phoenix. He was born January 2, 1965, in Kansas City, Mo.

Zecca received his Bachelor of Science in 1989, and his Masters of Business in 1993 from Western NM University. He taught school at St. Catherines of Sienna for two years and worked in accounting.

Survivors include his daughter, Rachael N. Zecca of Gilbert, Ariz.; parents, Franklin B. Zecca and Jerry Lee Zecca, both of Gallup; brothers, Glen F. Zecca of Gilbert, Ariz., and John J. Zecca of Gallup; sisters, Carol Lee McCann of Scottsdale, and Julie C. Zecca of Albuquerque.

Zecca was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frances Hurta, Jerry J. Hurta, Valentina Zecca, and Guido Zecca.

Pallbearers will be Victor Aragon, Gerald Caraveo, Mike DePauli, Brett Dominguez, Brian Dominguez, Ted Esparza, Sherwin Gilchrist, Mike Madrid, Tim Neal, John Piano, Chris Scaggari, and Kenny Starkovich.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Fr. Caron Vollmer

ST. MICHAELS — Funeral Mass for Fr. Caron Vollmer, OFM, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 28, at St. Michaels Mission. Burial will follow in the OFM plot at St. Michaels Mission Cemetery.

Visitation will be at 7 p.m. Friday, April 27 at St. Michaels Mission.

Fr. Caron was born February 26, 1919, in Louisville, Ky.

Born Jacob Justus Vollmer, he made his first vows on August 16, 1939, in Cincinati, Ohio and his final (solemn) vows on August 16, 1942, in Detroit, Mich. He was ordained a priest on June 5, 1947, in Oldenburg, Ind. and ministered among the Hopis and Navajos all his priestly life. He spoke Navajo fluently and served at missions in Fort Defiance, Keams Canyon, Klagetoh, Lukachukai, St. Michaels and Pinon, Ariz., as well as Navajo, Shiprock, and Tohatchi.

Survivors include his neices.

Fr. Caron was proceded in death by his parents, Jacob Vollmer and Elizabeth Muerer Vollmer; brothers, Norbert Vollmer and Terrance Vollmer.


Daisey Pouges

MILAN — Services for Daisey Pouges, 66, will be announced at a later date.

Pouges died April 25, in Albuquerque. She was born January 1, 1941 in Abernathy, Texas.

Compassion Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Miluck Gaddy

PREWITT — The family has changed the date of services for Miluck Rose Gaddy. Services will be 10 a.m., at the Gallup Church of God. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
