Paul Geathers, II
TULARE, Calif. -- Funeral services for Paul
H. Geathers, II, 29 will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4 at Rollie
Mortuary Palm Chapel. Evangelist Johnny Graham will officiate.
Geathers died July 27, 2007 in Chaney, Washington. He was born
May 18, 1978 in Gallup into the Many Hogans Clan.
Geathers graduated from Tulare Union High School
in 1996. He attended C.O.S. College in Visalia, Calif. and Spokane
Community College. Geathers, II served in the Air Force until
2004.
Survivors include his son, Anthony Cooper of
Texas; parents, Kathleen Geathers of Tulare, Calif. and Paul Geathers
of Visalia, Calif.; sisters, Aricah Geathers of Tulare and Paula
Garcia of Pueblo, Colo.
Geathers was preceded in death by his grandparents,
Eileen Bylillie, Kee Bylillie, Elouise Thompson, and Doris Alger.
The family will receive relatives and friends
at Darlene Lees residence, 700 N. Mission in Gallup.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Hosteen Tallwood
NAVAJO, N.M. -- Funeral services for Hosteen
Tallwood, 80, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4 at Our Lady
of Fatima Church in Chinle. Father Ken Roy will officiate. Burial
will follow on the family plot in Chinle.Visitation will be one
hour prior to services.
Tallwood died July 31, 2007 in Fort Defiance.
He was born April 17, 1927 in Chinle into the Honeycombed Rock
People Clan for the One Who Walks Around People Clan.
Tallwood retired from NFPI as a Plainer Supervisor
after 48 years of service. He received Outstanding Supervisory
Support for the Safety Program as well as other awards and recognitions.
Tallwood was a Native American Church President from 1975-1999
for the Sawmill Chapter. His hobbies include working on vehicles,
traveling, hauling woods, outdoors, and being with family and
friends.
Survivors include his wife, Lavina Tallwood
of Navajo; sons, Leonard Tallwood and Lionel Tallwood, both of
Navajo, Larry Tallwood of Crystal, N.M., Emerson Tallwood and
Elmer Tallwood, both of Sawmill; brothers, Anselm Bia, Sr. of
Sawmill, Carl Begay and Ned Begay both of Chinle, John Brown,
Jr. of Crystal; sisters, Louise Brown and Pauline Dawes both of
Chinle, Gladys Brown of Snowflake, Ariz., Selena Jewett of Payson;
28 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Tallwood was preceded in death by his parents,
Hoskie and Ethel Tallwood; brothers, Keith Tallwood and James
Tallwood; sisters, Rose Tsosie, Stella Lilly, and Mary Lou Kaskasie.
Pallbearers will be family members. Silver
Creek is in charge of arrangements.
Elvin Nelson
NAVAJO, N.M. -- Services for Elvin Nelson, 42,
will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 4 at the Fort Defiance Catholic
Church in Fort Defiance. Father Cormac will officiate. Burial
will follow in Fort Defiance.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services
at the church.
Nelson died Aug. 1, 2007 in Phoenix. He was
born July 14, 1965 in Fort Defiance into the Edge Water People
Clan for the Towering House People Clan.
He attended Winslow High School and the Crownpoint
Institute of Technology.
Survivors include his father Ervin Nelson of
Phoenix; sister Elvina Nelson of Phoenix.
He was preceded in death b his mother Ella Nelson.
Pallbearers will be Ralph Johnson, Kevin Anderson,
Romon L. Scott, Daniel Tullie, Ricky Yoe and Lucas Yazzie.
Tse Bonito Mortuary in in charge of arrangements.
Erna Montoya-Francis
GALLUP -- Services for Erna Mae Montoya-Francis,
48, will be announced at a later date.
Montoya-Francis died Aug. 1, 2007. She was born
Sept. 2, 1958 in Hollister, Calif. into the Zuni People Clan.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
