Paul Cattaneo

GALLUP — Funeral Mass for Paul Anthony Cattaneo, 39, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8 at Sacred Heart Cathedral Church. Fr. Lawrence O’Keefe will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m., Aug. 7 at Sacred Heart Cathedral Church.

Cattaneo died Aug. 3, 2007 in Gallup. He was born Sept. 1, 1967 in Gallup.

Cattaneo graduated from Gallup High School in 1985, received his Bachelor of Science in Architecture in 1991, and his Master of Architecture from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, N.Y. in 1993.

Survivors include is parents, John L. and Jacquelyn L. Cattaneo; brother, John Auro Cattaneo; and sister, Kristi Weeks.
Cattaneo was preceded in death by his grandparents, R.J. and Gladys Kammer, Auro and Nellie Cattaneo.

The family will recieve relatives and friends at Sacred Heart Family Center following services.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Raymond Francisco

IYANBITO — Funeral services for Raymond Francisco, 80, will be at 2 p.m. today, Aug. 7 at Rollie Mortuary Palm Chapel. Burial will follow at the family cemetery in Iyanbito.

Francisco died Aug. 4, 2007 in Gallup. He was born in Fallen Maple Canyon (Pinedale) into the Meadow People Clan for the Charcoal Streaked Division of the Red Running into the Water People Clan.

Francisco attended Fort Wingate Public School. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp. and served in WWII. He retired from the Union Pacific Railroad and was a sheepherder.

Survivors include his daughters, Gloria Holtso of Albuquerque and Daphne Etsitty of Toyei, Ariz.; sisters, Alice Arviso, Christine Ashley, Janyce Francisco, Louise Francisco, Generita Francisco, Eunice Skeet, and Nellie Lee; brothers, Leonard Francisco, Sr. of Crownpoint and George Francisco of Iyanbito; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Francisco was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Frank Francisco; and grandparents, John and Bah Big, Mr. and Mrs. Two Francisco.

Pallbearers will be Martin Becenti, Lance Laughlin, Tim Skeet, Kevin Franciso, Joe Paul Tenequer, and Clayton Curley.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Norvin Tsosie

LAS VEGAS, N.M. — Funeral services for Norvin Tsosie, 36, will be at 10 a.m. today, Aug. 7 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Kayenta. Elder Edwin Norton will officiate. Burial will follow at the Dennehotso Community Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services.

Tsosie died Aug. 2, 2007 in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 9, 1971 in Monument Valley, Utah into the Bitter Water People Clan for the Red House People Clan.

Tsosie was an iron worker and belonged to the Local 433 in Los Angeles. He graduated from school in Red Mesa, Ariz.

Survivors include Glenda Rose of Las Vegas, Nev.; sons Channing Tsosie of Las Vegas, Nev.; daughters LyRhonda Tsosie, LyTonia Tsosie, Justina and Alicia Benally, all of Las Vegas, Nev.; parents James Tsosie of Mexican Water, Marti Tsosie of Rock Point, Ariz.; sisters Michelle Lansing of Dennehotso, Ariz., Tishena Chee of Phoenix; brother Ronlye Tsosie; and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by Edward Johnson, Peterson Tsosie and Inez Tsosie.

Pallbearers will be immediate family.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Marti Tsosie’s residence.


Julia C. Ramirez

LOMITA, Calif. — Funeral Mass for Julia C. Ramirez, 88, will be at 11a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Lomita. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery.

Visitation will be at 7 p.m Today, Aug. 7 at Gamby Funeral Home.

Ramirez died July 30, 2007 in Lomita. She was born June 8, 1919 in Santa Rita, N.M.

Ramirez was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Guild for St. Mary Catholic Church. She participated in the League of Women’s Voters opening her home as a voting precinct and was involved with American Legion Women’s Auxilary.

Survivors include her sons, Richard T. Ramirez and Phillip A. Ramirez; daughters, Patricia E. Sadler and Lydia (Tammi) Mendels; brother, Louis Cardona; sister, Agnes Dydzyk; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and extended family in Gallup.

Ramirez was preceded in death by her brother Max Ramirez.


Edward Smith

GALLUP — Services for Edward Smith, 76, will be announced at a later date.

Smith died August 6, 2007 in Gallup. He was born November 28, 1930 in Brownwood, Texas.
Rolle Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Leon Redhouse

TEEC NOS POS — Services for Leon K. Redhouse, 91, will be announced at a later date.

Redhouse died August 6, 2007 in Shiprock. He was born Sept. 15, 1915 in Teec Nos Pos.
