Tony Barbone

TWIN LAKES — Funeral services for Tony Barbone, 47, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8 at Cope Memorial Chapel. Pastor Harry D. Largo will officiate. Burial will follow at Gallup City Cemetery.

Barbone died Aug. 8, 2007 in Twin Lakes. He was born October 21, 1959 in Crownpoint into the Bitter Water People Clan for the Hairy People Clan. Barbone attended Los Lunas Rehabilitation Center for 3 years and Coyote Canyon Rehabilitation Center for 31 years. Hobbies included swimming, walking, and arts and crafts.

Survivors include his brothers, Leonard Barbone of Sandspring, N.M., Ned C. Barbone, Sr. of Borrego Pass, N.M., Bennie Barbone of Canoncito, Eddie T. Barbone of Albuquerque, and Woody Barbone of Borrego Pass.

Barbone was preceded in death by his parents, John T. Barbone and Elsie N. Barbone; brothers, Sammy Barbone, Wayne Barbone, and Jones Barbone.

Pallbearers will be Timothy Barbone, Deandro Barbone, Ned Barbone, Jr., Owen Chavez, Tyson Chavez, and Kevin Chavez.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Thomas Mazon

SAN RAFAEL — Funeral services for Thomas “Tommy” Mazon, 51, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 14 at San Rafael Catholic Church. Father Jeff King will officiate. Burial will follow at San Rafael Community Cemetery.

A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Monday, August 13 at the San Rafael Catholic Church.

Mazon died August 10, 2007 in San Rafael. He was born March 16, 1956 in Grants.

Mazon was a driller in the uranium mines.

Survivors include his brothers, Peter Mazon of Wittier, Calif., Abie Mazon of California, and Stanley Mazon of Albuquerque; sisters, Jeanette Apodaca of San Rafael, Annie Pohl of Grants, and Theresa Martinez of Grants.

Mazon was preceded in death by his parents Lorenzo Mazon and Catherine Veloz Mazon.
Pallbearers will be Art Barela, Danny Maribal, Leroy Martinez, Ray Veloz, Tom Puroll, and Alex Miera.

Juanita Perez

GALLUP — Services for Juanita C. Perez, 86, will be announced at a later date.

Perez died August 12, 2007 in Gallup. She was born June 24, 1921 in Gallup.
