Eleanor Ashley

WIDE RUINS — Funeral services for Eleanor K. Ashley, 37, were at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18 at the Klagetoh Mennonite Mission. Burial followed in Klagetoh Cemetery.

Ashley died Aug. 11, 2007 in Wide Ruins. She was born April 1, 1970 in Ganado into the One Who Walks Around Clan for the Towering House Clan.

Survivors include her husband, Presley Ashley, Sr.; sons, Marvin K. Bylilly, Presley Ashley, Jr., Jason J. Ashley, Joshua J. Ashley, and Jesse Ashley; daughter, Pamela J. Ashley; parents, Alice Chavez and Bobby Chavez, and Phillip Ashley; brothers, Robert Chavez, Preston Tom, Dennison Ashley, and Vyron Ashley; sisters, Rovenna Chavez, Patricia Tom, Vanessa Ashley; grandparents, Calvin Navajo, Mae Navajo, Marie Chavez; and two grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Preston Tom, Jr., Albert Navajo, Robert Chavez, Ira Reed, Eric P. Ashley, Presley Ashley, Sr., Presley Ashley, Jr., Jason Ashley, Joshua Ashley, Vyron Ashley, and Marvin K. Bylilly.

Tse Bonito Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.



Mary Gail

FORT DEFIANCE — Funeral services for Mary Alice Gail, 71, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22 at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament in Fort Defiance. Burial will follow on the family plot in Deer Springs, Ariz.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services.

Gail died Aug. 18, 2007 in Flagstaff. She was born Feb. 22, 1935 in Deer Springs into the Towering House People Clan for the Salt Water People Clan.

Gail was employed with the Navajo Times as a newspaper carrier. She retired from the Navajo Nation. Gail belonged to the Catholic Church and the Native American Church. At the time of her death she was a homemaker and a rancher.

Survivors included her sons, Erwin Gail and Thompson Gail both of Fort Defiance; daughters, Laurita Begay of Pigeon Springs and Clarita Jim of Tohlakai; brother, Wilfred Patrick Smith of Dallas, Texas; sister, Irene Susie Teller of Fort Defiance; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Gail was preceded in death by her father, Wilson Smith, sons, Johnson Gail and Thomas Gail, Jr.; and daughter, Rosita Smith.

Pallbearers will be family members. Silver Creek is in charge of arrangements.



Patricia Kramer

Services for Patricia Jo Kramer, JD, 43, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23 at First Congregational Church, 2801 Lomas Boulevard N.E.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22 at French Mortuary.

Kramer died Aug. 18, 2007.

Kramer lived in Montrose, Colo. for 13 years. She began private family practice before becoming the director of a tri-county women’s abuse center and then went on to become deputy district attorney. Kramer moved to Gallup in October 2006 where she worked as assistant district attorney for McKinley County.

Survivors include her mother, Diane Kramer of Albuquerque; brother, Joey Kramer; sisters, Kathi Turner of Rolla, Mo. and Beth Benderman of Albuquerque;.

Kramer was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Kramer.



Irene Gonzales

GALLUP — Services for Irene G. Gonzales, 83, will be announced at a later date.

Gonzales died Aug. 18, 2007 in Gallup. She was born June 11, 1924 in Gallup.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
